Hello Hive
This is a traditional attire I made.
It is called "Adire" in Yoruba language. In our Yoruba culture here people like to celebrate the festive season in native outfit instead of causal cloth like jeans and T shirt.
Been a tailor and a designer I make use of two machine to sew this cloth the first one is where I cut and sew the cloth on the manual machine here
The other machine is an electrical one which I normally use for embroidery
This is called tinko design
I will make a video to show you how I do this when next we have electricity.
First I used to start with cutting of the cloth.
Then I do the embroidery first before I join the seam
That is my top and sleeve, the pant is also cut from the same fabric where I sew the traditional pant style here with side pockets.
It is usually the top that I do embroidery for, no need of a design on the pant . Here I fixed a pocket and did the heming of the trouser.
Once I have this ironed my clients can wear it to any celebration or occasion.Since I had a lot of clothes to make that this one wasn't ready for Easter.
That is my sewing and tinko design method for my customer.
