Greetings. Today we have a 121-kilometer trip to KK (Kota Kinabalu). It took approximately two hours of slow and steady driving. The main purpose of today's trip is to purchase school supplies for our children, such as bags, uniforms, and shoes. The side mission is to take the kids to see the city and have fun, which they didn't have in our small town.
🍝 Breakfast
My breakfast order and the kids' order are the same: Konlo Mee Sasau. Additional for me, hot coffee (no sugar).
Konlo Mee Sasau is Eiona's favourite dish at this restaurant.
🌞The Weather
We leave Ranau Town after we have finished breakfast. The sky is blue and it is a beautiful day.
We are nearly 70% of the way there, the sky is blue, and there isn't any rain. Lunchtime has arrived, and our bellies are hungry to eat. It's time to find lunch for us.
🦐 Lunch
For lunch, we get to Gayang Seafood Restaurant. Eating seafood such as oysters, crab, prawns, and steamed fish excites Rex. This is a fresh dish that we do not have in our small town. We have it fresh here at the restaurant.
🐢Live Tortoise at Gayang Restaurant
During our visit today, the tortoises at Gayang Restaurant have captured our attention. Eiona is seeing it for the first time, live and in front of her own eyes. She was filled with curiosity and never stopped questioning.
💰🐠 Fish + Coin Small Pond
There's this little pond with fish and coins in it. I'm not sure the history of the coin, but since it's at the restaurant's entrance, people seem to be tossing coins into the pond, making it a popular attraction. I believe I was cool, and the person who created it is a genius.
🎉 Having Some Fun
The day goes on. Next, we headed to 1Borneo to purchase school supplies for the children. We all had a great time after finishing the mission, especially the children. For the enjoyment of the children, it is worth the time and money spent. All I want to see is that joyful face.
🍔🍟🍗 Dinner
The children ask for fries, burgers, and fried chicken for dinner. We don't always enjoy ourselves and eat this kind of food for dinner. Experience life to the fullest. They have their wish happily fulfilled because today is their day.
🛌Stay The Night
We chose to spend the rest of the night at the hotel. The Palace Hotel is our choice. We are not too picky, even though some people claim the breakfast is not worth it. For us, it's sufficient if we can recover, get a good night's sleep, and enjoy a satisfying breakfast. We picked this place because the parking lot is peaceful and the food is good. I rate the food an 8 out of 10, as my stomach will still full.
