My name is Goodnews Godson and I love to smile a lot because nothing beats that big smile in distress. I am a Nigerian and I got introduced to this platform by a good friend. Though a few people say I can’t succeed on this platform nor last up to a month here, I am here to challenge myself.
I graduated with my Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Nigeria Nsukka earlier this year and I am proud to be a civil engineer by profession. I wrote and defended my project “Artificial Intelligence optimized structural designs and 3D printings in constructions” and I can say that it was really fun exploring that topic.
During my years as a student, I also explored other things and one of the things I was known for is Hyperrealism pen art. A lot of people know me as an artist and felt like I made the wrong decision studying Engineering for five years. Asides pen art, I also make arts with pencil, paints and colours. I started art professionally in 2020 and I have participated in several art exhibitions and won a lot of awards too.
I also love music; my headphones are always with me. I play the guitar (percussive guitar), piano and I also sing. I love rap too. I have written a few too. While at school, I was joined two music groups (Marts and Gospel Saturday) and they helped me sharpen my music skills too. It was hard satisfying my grades and my cravings for art and music but I did it finally.
I love to keep fit and I have finally made it my way of life. Calisthenics is my thing and although I am not aspiring to be chiseled like a Greek god like the other gym bros, I believe that keeping fit is healthy and it fuels one’s confidence. See? Killed two birds with one stone.
I love video editing and I teach it too. In 2021, I learnt Cinematography, how to shoot videos, set up good lightings and operate camera gears too. I specially love short form content editing and colour grading. I pass my videos through Capcut, Premiere pro, Adobe after effects, etc. in order to get a satisfying end result. I also wrote my first movie script, “Diary of a black boy” in 2021, although it was frustrating not being able to produce the movie, I hope for brighter days to come.
My favourite series remain DC’s “Arrow”. I love action movies by the way
I am a Christian, I love God, I love apples, humanity and all the good things in the world. I love reading good books too and learning a bit about every single thing e.g. JavaScript/C++, cooking good meals, baking and pastries, sports, fashion design, bead making, DIYs, etc. I am a freelancer who is opened to jobs and I believe there is never “too many skills”.
My believe is that the brain is the most brilliant work of art that cannot be replicated. So yeah, this is all about me. One more art to conclude pleaseee.
