I was blessed watching this video. The message has great lessons for us christians to learn. The Word of God is powerful and it is able to transform us into the type of person God wants us to be.
James 3:14 (KJV) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
Our pastor, Bro Eli Soriano answered the question on domestic violence well. He explained to us that it is the devil that makes people do evil. The devil is the master of evil. He teaches men how to do evil. We should not give the devil a chance in our homes. We should not allow bitterness and anger to rule our mind.
Domestic violence is not a good thing that should be seen in our society. We should not be violent. The husbands should love their wives as Christ loved the church. They should love their wives as their own selves. They should care for them. Couples should dwell with each other in harmony. We should not fight.
Ephesians 5:28 (KJV) So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
The wives also should be submissive to their husbands. They are to obey their husbands in the Lord. Like the holy women in the Bible, Sarah and the others, they respect their husbands and call them lord.
As children of God, let our homes be full of joy. The Bible should guide our dealings at home. We should be good husbands and good wives. Let us reflect the love of God in our homes. Let the Bible guide our dealings. Domestic violence is not good. Brutalizing each other is not good, let us repent from that. God help us.
