I hope everyone made it through Christmas okay this year, now we're on to New Years. It always seems to come so fast... I've learned that it's best to enjoy life while it lasts, because it really is pretty short!
Today is Sunday once again, and as always I will be doing my HSBI giveaway post. I also give out some DUO tokens and a legendary Splinterlands card as well (or two HSBI units.) This past week we had 23 participants in the contest who shared what their favorite treats were around the holidays. I'll highlight of few of these before jumping into the new contest for next Sunday.
Chocolate Cake

Chocolate cake was a popular pick, and with good reason. I think everyone loves a good chocolate cake, I know I do! Thanks for this choice @dewabrata and @ronnie10 ! The best part about it is that there are so many different kinds to choose from and they all taste great. From chocolate cheesecake to Black Forest cake, now I'm getting hungry!
Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin Pie was the pick by @ryosai ! I love it as well and as a kid, we always had it around the holidays. If you haven't tried it, it's awesome, I recommend trying it out! Especially with whipped cream on top, how can you go wrong there? In my family we usually had Pecan pie as well, very rich, but very good...

This was a pick by @whywhy as a Dutch specialty around Christmas. I have family from Denmark and also made these, not sure of the name in the Netherlands. These are amazing tasting pancake balls but much better than pancakes! I used to make them for my son, it's a family tradition. You really need a cast iron specialty Aebleskiver pan to make them and a good recipe which is easy to find online. They are worth it as they are heavenly tasting...
Chocolate and Chocolate Cherries

Chocolate covered cherries were a pick by @silvertop that he and @elizabethbit gave their kids for Christmas every year. I personally love these, and my parents gifted us these often at at Christmas time as well. They taste great, worth trying if you never have. I'll include this with the chocolate category because it was a popular one. Thanks also to @jpatrick28 and @mmoline (for orange chocolate, Terry's in particular.) If you haven't tired Terry's orange chocolate you are missing out!

I will be giving out two prizes of five (5) HSBI. Third prize will be 2 DUO tokens, the token I recently launched with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman . It offers those who stake sufficient tokens daily curation on quality posts, dividends, and a tipping bot. It also helps to onboard and retain new Hive members. At the end of the post there is a link to the white paper and where to purchase the tokens. There will also be one legendary Splinterlands card as a fourth prize. If you don't play Splinterlands just let me know and I'll send you two HSBI instead. To participate you need a reputation level of at least 25 and bots cannot win. And please one entry per person to make it fair to everyone.

All valid entries will be placed on the Wheel of Names and I will spin it four times. The first prize will be 5 HSBI units. The second prize will be another 5 HSBI units. Third prize will be a legendary Splinterlands card or two HSBI units, winner's choice. Fourth prize will be two DUO tokens. And since I am spinning the same wheel four times in a row it is theoretically possible for the same person to win all four prizes! Although I have yet to see it happen, maybe this week?
