In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Also, I will include the statistics I collect daily from Rising Star to keep you informed.
After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Para no olvidar: Los Rodriguez
Rosas: La Oreja de Van Gogh
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Rosas of the Spain band La Oreja de Van Gogh. I would venture to say, without knowing much about it, that La Oreja de Van Gogh is the best known rock band in Latin America from Spain. I first heard the band during my childhood, it was in my father's car when I listened to “Rosas”, the most famous song of the Spanish group, on a Rock/Pop themed radio station. Beyond Rosas, I don't have any other song of the group in my playlist, since they didn't seduce me so much.
“Rosas” is one of La Oreja de Van Gogh's most emblematic songs, included in their third studio album, ‘Lo que te conté mientras te hacías la dormida’, released in 2003. Written by the band members, the song has lyrics full of nostalgia, narrating the memory of a lost love. The voice of Amaia Montero, vocalist at the time, and the emotionality of the composition made “Rosas” a huge hit in Spain and Latin America, consolidating the band as one of the most recognized bands in Spanish.
Before giving the winner of this night's drawing. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
