Sindoni Tower, the largest in Maracay city

Now that I am in other latitudes, specifically in the city of Maracay, Venezuela, I will take the task of walking its streets in search of the places that offer the best architectural exponents to share them with you through this medium. This city is small and does not have large structures, but it does have some interesting ones. Such is the case of the emblematic Sindoni Tower, which is located on 1st Street between Miranda Avenue and Bolivar Avenue, very close to Bolivar Square in Maracay, a place that also has its particularities and that I will soon show you in another post.

The Sindoni Tower is the closest thing to a skyscraper I have seen, as I said, this city is small and even in Venezuela it is difficult to find structures of this size, in that sense I consider that we need to grow a lot. Maybe in the capital of the country, Caracas, we can see other structures of the same level, but in the rest of the national territory I really consider it difficult.

It was quite difficult for me to get reliable information on the web about the history and characteristics of this tower, so for the moment I will rely on what Wikipedia says. The aforementioned structure has a height of approximately 130 meters and has about 32, placing it among the 10 largest in the country. Regarding the name, if it is popular information is that Sindoni is the surname of an Italian named Filippo Sindoni, a businessman who is famous for founding a prestigious company producing pasta and other products of very good quality.

As you can see in the photos, the structure is quite impressive in height, in fact, it can be seen from a distance from many points of the city, which makes it quite popular and an iconic landmark for the citizens. As far as the first floor is concerned, we can see that it is supported by several columns that appear to be gray in color. This floor is quite high, which generates a sense of grandeur from the first moment you enter.

After the first floor, we can see 3 stages that seem to be staggered, but not symmetrically, which makes it interesting to the eye, it is as if one was embedded in the other. Another striking element are the windows, they all look quite clean and the fact that they have the same color makes us think that since the construction of the tower there have been no accidents for which windows have had to be replaced.

In the photo above, we can see several important features of this structure, for example, the 3 staggered stages are located both to the right and to the left of the first floor. On the other hand, in the center there are several floors that look like a cylinder embedded in two rectangles of different sizes; in addition, the tip of the building has a triangular shape, so we can see several geometric shapes in the same building.

I tried to enter to take some pictures of the inside of the building, but right after this last picture, the security told me that it was forbidden, which surprised me since being such an important building in the city they should allow access to those who are sightseeing, so I had no choice but to stay on the outside.

The photos from closer angles show the beauty of this building. The name prevails at the entrance in gold on a large black ribbon that supports and joins the structure with about 4 columns with black ceramic.

From a distance, more specifically from the Plaza Bolivar in the city of Maracay, we can appreciate the majesty and colorfulness of the Sindoni Tower, it rises above the tall trees, making it totally recognizable and unique.

At the moment there is not much more to say about it, just appreciate this striking structure which is an icon and reference of this small city. It was a pleasure to share, see you!
