For those of us who couldn't make it to Hivefest, I hope we've already had a glimpse of what happened during the 5-day conference. It wasn’t just a gathering of Hivers, but an opportunity for like-minded individuals to share and explore the great potentials and future possibilities of the Hive blockchain together. There were a series of presentations that helped produce insights and useful information about the many developments within Hive.
One thing I love about this kind of meetup is how it brings people from all walks of life together. If you've ever been to any Hive meetup, you’ll realize that we're a closely-knit community. Most of us would have loved to attend and experience it personally, but due to geographical distances and other commitments, we could not. You can watch the livestream or learn more here if you missed. However, with Hive, it's always easy to connect with anyone living in your city. I guess we have a meetup culture where Hivers occasionally meet in different places within their regions.
But Hivefest, I think, is a special kind of meetup that gives you the chance to meet different personalities behind the accounts that are curating, sharing, or leaving comments. Even though I couldn't attend, I was glad that my brother @mcsamm made it. His trip was just after the launch of our 17th borehole in Ghana. With him there, I felt as though I was there too, as he shared all the details of what was happening. He spoke about his experiences throughout, making me miss out on the event even more.
One of the proudest moments for me was the screening of the documentary on the Hive Borehole project. I was happy to see it finally come out. A lot of work has gone into the film, and I want to say well done to Raf @mynewlife for a job well done. "The Hive Empowers Communities" project is truly life-changing and will continue to have a lasting impact.
I'm glad the event was a success and truly impactful. I was also happy to see @mcsamm again and meet up with him in Edinburgh yesterday. He had a surprise gift for me, during our meeting at Leonardo Hotel and I was delighted with these souvenirs from Hivefest. I wasn’t expecting them, so it was a big surprise! . Anything from Hive is beautiful. Thanks, @mcsamm!
I hope that many of us from different parts of the world will be able to attend next year, where we can experience this great annual event firsthand
