This morning I had my first session with a personal trainer as he started to layout a framework that could help me ramp up my fitness. As I walked him through what my routines have looked like over the past few years, it became clear that I was never ramping up intensity enough by not changing things up. He presented me with a number of strategies to mix things up around my cardio training which will make big differences in short time.
I was motivated from the session and as I continue to focus on this primarily, I headed straight to a treadmill for an interval session to push and get a good start to the day. It went for half hour and while I know I could have done more, I still am treading lightly as I know my body is still struggling with the weight. I continued on the treadmill with a walk to get most of my goal done before I spent the rest of the day with the family with some errands and rest.
