Living as a disciple of Jesus Christ is a life that requires much discipline. Discipline is required to be able to obey the doctrines of Jesus Christ. The doctrines of Jesus Christ requires us to stay away from someone habits and social attitudes which are trending in our society now. We are to live the kind of lives that describes us as the disciples of Jesus Christ. Disciples of Jesus Christ are those who keeps the words of Jesus Christ.
The Bible is the book that our Lord Jesus Christ left for us. We are admonished to study it everyday. We should obey all the commandments of God which is written there. We listen carefully to the doctrines of Jesus Christ and understand them properly. We should be doers of the word and not only hearers. Obeying the commandments of God is the only way we can become His disciples.
The disciples of Jesus Christ are not only the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ. The 12 apostles were those who were with him during His earthly ministry. Those we they who received the message from the Master directly. Unfortunately, Judas Iscariot didn't end well. So, it was rather 11 of the apostles who made it. We too are also the disciples of Jesus Christ. We are His disciples if we do what He commands us.
