Wedding will always remain my outmost preference. Have attended so many weddings and I discovered that wedding is not just a celebration it is a life long decision. It is a union that bounds two humans as one, even the bible approves greatly for two humans to live in union as one. I feel very excited whenever I see my loved ones having a loving partner they could spend their lives with.
To me the vows made during marriage is the most crucial aspect of marriage, every other thing done during marriage is a mere ceremony . During exchange of vows, the couples declare their promises to stay committed to each other through thick and thin, to be dedicated to each other in love, unity and hope aspiring great things for the future.

Just like the saying “two heads are better than one” the couples come together and are ready to face challenges and joy together.
Here in Nigeria, most people do three wedding ceremony; traditional wedding , court wedding, church wedding some do just court wedding and traditional wedding while others do just traditional wedding .
In my own perspective wedding is more of culture and tradition that is why traditional wedding remains the best for me.
AN OVERVIEW OF TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE IN MY STATE "AKWA IBOM"
In Nigeria, we have different cultures and tradition, some culture do not allow younger ones to marry before their elder ones , the elder one must marry first .
Traditional marriage in Nigeria is indeed fun and a great ceremony, assorted kinds of delicacies both traditional and international will be made available.
In the ibibio culture, prior to the wedding, the groom to be goes to the bride’s house with his parents and elderly people , he formally declares his intentions to the bride’s parents and presents some drinks to them, the bride’s parents Will then invite the bride asking her if she is willing to marry the man, if she agrees, the two families will fix a date on when the marriage will hold.
They brides family will present a list which includes the bride price and all other things deemed necessary to the groom, once the groom pays everything in the list presented they both families will then proceed for the traditional marriage ceremony.
On the marriage ceremony, the groom and his family dresses with his cultural attire while the bride also dresses beautifully with her cultural attire. The bride’s family presents assorted traditional meal to everyone showcasing the fact that the bride is able to prepare assorted traditional cuisines.
The groom is then publicly invited to declare his intentions which he will and the bride will be officially presented to him. The groom and the bride takes a glass of palm wine to the father, mother and inlaws for marital blessings.
The parents of both parties will pray for them and the ceremony continues with dance from the couples, friends and families . Everyone is filled with joy.
Wedding is indeed a blissful union and marriage is a lifelong decision choose wisely whom you want to stay with through eternity.
