mi hija más chiquita cumple años el 30 de diciembre, desde mucho antes me estaba pidiendo de obsequio un vestido con los colores de su personaje favorito, ella es amante de la caricatura My Little Pony, y su personaje favorito y especial es Rainbow Dash, esta linda pony es de color morado claro con morado intenso, así que me puse manos a la obra me fui hasta la tienda de telas de mi ciudad y complací de la manera más linda a mi hija, aquí les muestro el proceso para hacer este lindo vestido

My youngest daughter has a birthday on December 30th, and long before that she was asking me for a costume-type dress with the colors of her favorite character. She loves the cartoon My Little Pony, and her favorite and special character is Rainbow Dash. This cute pony is light purple with deep purple, so I got to work. I went to the fabric store in my city and pleased my daughter in the cutest way. Here I show you the process to make this cute dress.

Al llegar a la tienda de telas comenzamos a ver la gran cantidad y variedad de telas que hay allí, mi hija desde un principio se inclinó por alguna tela que fuese peluda, así que fuimos hasta el área donde están las telas de cobijas, dude mucho de cómo quedaría este vestido en este tipo de tela, escogimos la llamada tela polar, la cual se usa para cobijas, hace un tiempo le hice a mi hija un suéter en forma de dinosaurio con esta tela y quedó muy bien, pero de suéter a vestido hay mucha diferencia, pero asumí esté desafío y busqué la manera de lograrlo, aquí te dejo la lista de materiales que utilicé
- 1 m de tela polar
- Medio metro de tela elástica
- 1 cremallera invisible de 30 cm
- Cinta métrica
- Tijeras
- Lápiz o tiza para marcar
- Patrón de crop top
- máquina de coser
When we arrived at the fabric store we began to see the great quantity and variety of fabrics there, my daughter was initially inclined towards some fabric that was furry, so we went to the area where the blanket fabrics are, I was very unsure of how this dress would look in this type of fabric, we chose the so-called polar fabric, which is used for blankets, a while ago I made my daughter a dinosaur-shaped sweater with this fabric and it turned out very well, but there is a big difference between a sweater and a dress, but I took on this challenge and looked for a way to achieve it, here is the list of materials I used
- 1.5 m of polar fabric
- Half a meter of elastic fabric
- 1 invisible zipper 30 cm
- Measuring tape

Para comenzar este vestido voy a copiar un patrón de crop top que tengo ya listo, con este patrón haciéndo unas pequeñas modificaciones he podido lograr varios proyectos, la parte de arriba consta de tres piezas, la parte delantera lleva dos piezas, la primera es de los laterales la cual vamos a cortar doble y la parte del Centro la cual vamos a cortar con la tela doblada a la mitad, la parte de atrás es una sola pieza se corta con la tela doblada a la mitad.
To start this dress I'm going to copy a crop top pattern that I already have ready, with this pattern making some small modifications I have been able to achieve several projects, the top part consists of three pieces, the front part has two pieces, the first is the sides which we are going to cut double and the center part which we are going to cut with the fabric folded in half, the back part is a single piece it is cut with the fabric folded in half.

La falda de este vestido la vamos a cortar de forma circular, para este proceso hay muchas maneras de hacerlo, podemos doblar la tela a la mitad y luego a la mitad nuevamente y dibujamos el círculo de largo deseado, también podemos doblar la tela a la mitad y hacer el círculo igual midiendo el largo deseado, luego le vamos a hacer un pequeño círculo en la cintura tomando la medida de cintura de la persona a la cual le vamos a hacer la prenda.
La circunferencia quedará de esta manera, partiendo desde el punto del Centro seran 51 cm de largo, me copié de una falda de mi hija mayor la cual tiene el largo como lo desea mi hija menor, mi tela es poca cantidad así que la falda saldrá en dos partes las cuales uniré con costuras por los lados.

Para este siguiente paso vamos a comenzar con las costuras, uniremos las partes delanteras y luego unimos a la parte de atrás dejando un lado sin costura ya que le colocaremos cremallera, este modelo de Crop Top me gustó mucho, la forma que da en el busto es perfecta, al hacer las primeras costuras quedé enamorada de cómo se va viendo el proceso, lo coloqué sobre el cuerpo de mi hija y quedó perfecto el tamaño.
For this next step we are going to start with the seams, we will join the front parts and then join the back part leaving one side without a seam since we will put a zipper on it, I really liked this Crop Top model, the shape it gives to the bust is perfect, when making the first seams I fell in love with how the process is seen, I placed it on my daughter's body and the size was perfect.
Ahora vamos a cortar el sesgo para nuestro vestido, al realizar este vestido y tener tantas dudas tuve que irme a la tienda de telas luego de tenerlo ya cortado para buscar el color a combinar, luego de mucho rato buscando por toda la tienda una tele elástica con el color morado Intenso conseguí una tela llamada Bombay, el color es el ideal y la textura y elasticidad de la tela me parecieron perfectas.
Para el sesgo del ruedo corte tiras de 10 cm de ancha para el escote superior y la cintura corte el sesgo de 8 cm de ancha, uní por toda la orilla superior y en la cintura doble la tira de tela a la mitad y lo uní con las dos partes del vestido la parte superior y la falda

Mi hija quería lucir su vestido el día de su cumpleaños, pero con tantos contratiempos que se me presentaron y Justo siendo la noche anterior a la celebraciones de Año Nuevo no me pasó por la mente comprar la cremallera, así que tuve un acuerdo con ella, le dije que su vestido sería su estreno para la noche de Año Nuevo y así me daría tiempo de salir a comprar su cremallera, ella aceptó el trato y justo el día 31 pude culminarle su vestido con éxito.
La cremallera invisible la colocaremos pasando costura por un costado, no soy muy experta cosiendo este tipo de cremalleras, en el proceso partí tres agujas de mi máquina, esto me da mucho pesar ya que esto las descontrola, pero mi meta era terminar el vestido, así que hice lo mejor que pude y aquí está el resultado de este hermoso vestido en tela polar.
My daughter wanted to wear her dress on her birthday, but with so many setbacks that came up and it being the night before the New Year's celebrations, it didn't occur to me to buy the zipper, so I made an agreement with her, I told her that her dress would be her debut on New Year's Eve and that way I would have time to go out and buy her zipper, she accepted the deal and on the 31st I was able to successfully finish her dress.
We will put the invisible zipper in by sewing on one side, I am not very expert at sewing this type of zipper, in the process I broke three needles on my machine, this makes me very sad because it makes them uncontrolled, but my goal was to finish the dress, so I did the best I could and here is the result of this beautiful dress in fleece fabric.

Una de las mejores cosas que más agradezco del 2024 es haber realizado el curso de patronaje, gracias a este curso se me abrió una parte de grandes conocimientos y ahora me resulta muchísimo más fácil lograr las cosas en mis costuras.
Al finalizar este hermoso vestido me sentí muy feliz y le expresé a mis hijos las grandes dudas que sentía al utilizar esta tela y que me sorprendió la forma tan hermosa como este vestido quedó y pueden creer que mi hija más chiquita me respondió, mamá yo siempre confíe en ti y confié en que si lograrías hacerlo y bonito🥺.
