Ho Chi Minh City is very good for you to train your leg strength, in every pedestrian corner there are interesting spots that can spoil your eyes. One of the things I found was a Catholic church that looked very quiet. Located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, close to the Independent Palace in Ho Chi Minh City. I found this church on my way to the Independent Palace on a hot afternoon.

It seems that even during the day, Huyen Si Church looks very cool, you can even take shelter here while looking at the pigeons perched in the church yard, it is very shady, like a place of worship which has a very positive aura. Even though it is in the middle of the city, it is not noisy at all. The gentle wind blowing around the church yard seemed really cold compared to other places. Do you feel the same way if you are in a house of worship?

Huyen Si Church has a very wide yard even though it is in the middle of the city and is crowded by several other buildings. It is bordered by a high fence, but because the building is tall, you can still recognize it is a large church. This area may be a favorite for tourists to stop by, because this church seems to trust anyone who enters. Because the fence which is the only entrance is opened wide and free for anyone who enters.

Likewise with me, because it's quite a long walk from the hotel to the Independent Palace, I'm also sitting here drinking a bottle of mineral water. See how beautiful the shape of the church building is from the outside. A very pleasant experience, even though you only see a house of worship/church building.

At the entrance, there was a woman wearing a mask who was feeding the pigeons that lived there. It seemed to be leftover rice used as animal feed, the pigeons were also very healthy and all looked very fit and flying happily. Even though pigeons actually like to poop carelessly, I saw that the church yard was very clean of bird droppings, even though the feed seemed to be scattered on the side of the road. I hope someone cleans it up later.

My favorite is this place, a prayer garden that every Catholic church always has. It says 'Ave Maria' right on top of a tall, brown stone structure, decorated with a permanent nameplate made from naturally arranged ceramic stones. There are many names and prayers offered. I saw 2 people praying sitting on chairs and taking shade next to a tree around the prayer garden.

A prayer garden for Catholic must have a statue of the Virgin Mary standing in a beautiful robe. Interspersed with some flowers which seemed very fresh and were changed every day, perhaps replaced by visitors who came to pray, or the church administrators.

This church looks very beautiful with several trees providing shade, especially in the prayer garden. Even though the main church is closed (because I saw the church entrance was closed), so you can pray in this garden. Very natural with ornamental plants and green grass. Clean from rubbish but the grass has not been mowed.

There are several other statues in this church yard. Likewise, several chairs are provided made of cement and stone, for visitors who want to perform worship or other rituals. On the other hand, there are buildings belonging to churches which may be schools or rooms for learning and gathering apart from the main church building.

Pine trees add to the beauty of the church, because apart from being beautiful and can be decorated as a Christmas tree, they also have a distinctive and fragrant aroma. The trees also look well maintained, as do the grounds and buildings of Huyen Si Church.

You can look for Huyen Si Church near Benh Thanh Street, it has an orange fence and also a building with white and light gray paint. I guess I'm curious about what's inside the church on Sunday. However, this opportunity was very short because I had a flight on Wednesday.
