She sat on her bed, tears rolling down her cheeks, her brother hadn’t meant to hurt her but with one casual remark he had made her feel small and embarrassed her in front of his friends. She knew it wasn’t meant in a vindictive way and if he knew what feelings he had invoked in her he would be upset himself.
She shouldn’t take it to heart but he knew how sensitive she was about it and she had hoped he would choose his words more carefully, she would let him know tomorrow but for today she would hide herself away.
