Essentially, to be funded by Hive for a project through its decentralized Hive Fund, one has to clear the number of votes on the Return Proposal ... and that just became impossible for all but one project funded by Hive, because Hive's most influential voter voted last Saturday to support the Return Proposal!
The news is a week old and most proposals are funded again, but @edicted's analysis is worth a read -- live from the day it all went down -- to understand the history of Hive and how your participation in Hive governance through powering up or leaving some HP in your account so you can vote on the development of Hive that you want is so important.
