I’m very quick to do away with things that don’t add any value to my life. I get rid of everything that is of no use to me the same way I get rid of people who don’t add value to my life and I don’t even bat an eye in doing that. As I grow everyday, I realise the importance of living a stress free life and I don’t even have the energy to allow petty things to stress me.
As @rubilu will say, his phone didn’t buy him, he bought the phone and so he will do whatever he wants to do with it.Kind of funny but very accurate. Some months ago, a friend from a long time back who stopped talking to me for no reason texted me all of a sudden to tell me has has forgiven me. I thought to myself, forgiven me for what exactly? I immediately blocked him because it’s my phone and I can do whatever I want.
There’s a lot of important stuff on my phone and I can’t afford to let an unnecessary person take up the little space I have left on my phone. I wouldn’t say I’m one to keep many apps on my phone even though my phone has quite a manageable storage and even with that, I’m always running out of space sometimes. You’ll only find me downloading an app when I need it and once I’m done with it, it’s going to be deleted.
Aside the everyday apps I use such as Ecency, whatsapp, discord, my notes, my bank app , telegram and my music app, I don’t really mind deleting all the apps on my phone. I would say the most useless apps i have on my phone are the weather app, health app , compass , voice memos and apple wallet. Can you believe I didn’t even have Snapchat on my phone until a week ago. As for instagram, I don’t have any business there so why waste my space on it. Even though we are in the era of technology, I know its not possible for us to use every single social media app.
Most people often ask if I have a social life since I don’t use IG and it makes me wonder if the world came to a halt when we didn’t have all these apps. Sigh. Well, everyone has that app that’s very important to them and so we are all entitled to do what we want with the our phones. Aside apps that are already existing on the phones system which I even deactivate most times, I only keep apps which are only important to me.
Most of us often complain about our data getting exhausted quickly but we don’t realise this is because of the numerous apps on our phones of which most of them are always running in the background thereby consuming your data and space. Sometimes we need to delete the apps we have so use for so as to make space for other apps and conserve our phone storage because getting rid of these apps will not affect your life in anyway whatsoever ever. And always remember, your phone didn’t buy you, you bought it.
