Meet again with my post for the umpteenth time. In this post, I want to share information about a tradition that has existed since time immemorial and has been passed down from generation to generation. This tradition is known as Cucurak. I will try to explore Cucurak cultural traditions. Hopefully the following brief description can increase our knowledge and insight into cultures in the world.

Cucurak is a cultural tradition of the Sundanese people, especially the people of West Java, Indonesia. The Cucurak cultural tradition is held every year before the holy month of Ramadan (Hijri year) enters.
The Cucurak tradition is carried out in various circles of society, both within extended families, community organizations, or other organizations whose members are predominantly Muslim. West Java, Indonesia, which has the largest Muslim population in the world, marks the moment leading up to the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan by holding Cucurak.
In the Cucurak tradition we gather together in one place to eat together which is then followed by shaking hands to apologize and pray for each other. In our view, that person is in a wrong place and is a sin. So, when we are going to fast, we must be free from feelings of guilt (pure birth) so that our fasting will receive rewards from Allah, the Almighty God.
