So today I will be making a veggie roll; at first I was thinking of what it would taste like, but trust me when I say I wish I did more because it came out crunchy, delicious, and sweet as well. So let’s get into the kitchen and see how I make my veggies roll easily at home.

    Ingredients are:

    500g of flour

    200g of cabbage

    250ml of groundnut oil

    1/2 piece of onion

    2 tablespoons of sugar

    Half a teaspoon of salt

    5 pieces of carrots

    2 pieces of spring onion

    10 pieces of red pepper

Half a teaspoon of baking powder

    Procedure

Firstly, I rinsed the veggies and then sliced them into smaller pieces.

Then I move on to making the dough; I pour the flour into a clean bowl, then I add half a teaspoon of baking powder, two tablespoons of sugar, and a quarter teaspoon of salt and then make use of a spoon to stir it so that the ingredients can mix up with the flour.

I added water gradually and then kneaded it until everything stuck together, then I added one full tablespoon of oil to give the dough a soft and jelly texture, and then I set it aside.

I put a smaller frying pan on the burner, add some oil because I didn’t need too much oil for the frying and allowed it to get hot a little bit.

I started pouring the sliced veggies into the hot oil, starting with the carrots.

After that, I added the remaining salt to taste

Lastly I added the cabbage then stirred it and allowed it to fry a little bit.

I sprinkle some flour on a tray, I cut a small quantity of the dough, and then I make use of a rolling pin to spread it on the tray.

I made use of a tablespoon to pour a small quantity of the veggie sauce on the dough.

I folded it, and I realized it was too long, so I made use of a knife to cut it in two and then close the mouths again.

The same process was applied to the rest of the dough.

I place a bigger frying pan in the burner and I pour the remaining oil inside.

I started placing the roll inside, and I fried on a low heat.

After three minutes I turned them to the other side and allowed it to fry for about five minutes again.

I took them out of the oil when they were turning golden brown.
