Being Fit Pays Off on Hive

Literally. Even though @actifit.social has been promoting the Actifit app for a while on Threads, many Inleo users may not be aware of how it works. Honestly, it’s as simple as it could possibly be. You move and then earn Hive, plus several tokens that are basically worth nothing, but who knows what happens with them in the upcoming bull market? To get a reward, you only have to publish a daily report documenting your efforts via the Actifit app (compatible with both Android and iOS devices – and on my iPhone, everything works smoothly). The best reports (in terms of post quality rather than the points you get for your steps or other activities) are curated and receive quite nice upvotes. All the others get at least a symbolic vote from the main account, and after accumulating enough Afit tokens, they are eligible to receive boosts paid in those tokens. This boost can be worth up to $1. Yes, being fit pays off on Hive.

So much for the advertisement – I see the preface of my post looks like one. I’ve been using Actifit daily for several years now and am definitely a satisfied user. I started at the peak of COVID restrictions here in the Czech Republic. Pubs and restaurants were forced to close, as were cultural venues and other places I regularly visit. To kill a bit of the load of extra leisure time, I started running. I thought I could train enough to run a marathon (my longest single run was 20 km, so I only needed to get twice as good). Sadly for my athletic ambitions, the situation calmed down a few months later and being able to explore various microbreweries for Beer Saturday by @detlev (join the challenge, by the way!) was way more appealing than spending hours running in the outskirts of Prague.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon another challenge here on Hive, @poliac. It’s a league where Actifit users can compete with others, making point hunting (which effectively means working out, running, swimming, etc.) even more entertaining. We all like challenges, don’t we? The season (the 17th one, wow!) starts on Monday, and I had great luck since there was a free spot for a newbie. Let’s see how harsh the contest will be, but I can imagine getting hyped soon and starting with long-distance runs again. To be fit, to win, and to grab some extra rewards.

If anybody considers joining any move2earn activities or starting working out, I strongly recommend using a tracker over the phone. I am more than happy with the Fitbit Charge series smartbands (and bought the latest one a few weeks ago), but there are obviously other brands and products. A good tracker provides a lot of valuable information regarding your body reactions you should use to schedule your training doses, besides being more accurate in counting points that earn you crypto.

My brand new Fitbit Charge 6 when it arrived.

I hope I inspired somebody to join Actifit or any other Hive-based move2earn activity, such as Strava2Hive. Feel free to ask any questions regarding my experience; I feel I’m seasoned after all these years.
