Hola mi gente bonita de Hive. Hoy les comparto que, una muy, pero muy grata sorpresa me dieron dos de mis amigos más queridos, excompañeros de trabajo.
Resulta que ayer, durante el ajetreo de la mañana, realizando los oficios del hogar, lavando, limpiando y cocinando, oigo que tocan el timbre de mi casa y cuando me asomo, no lo podía creer, mis amigos queridos ¡Qué sorpresa!
Como flecha corrí hacia la puerta, dejando todo lo que estaba haciendo, para recibirlos, cuanta alegría sentí en ese momento.
Mi amigo Joseph, es T.S.U. en Informática y trabaja en el área de Tecnología de la Información como soporte técnico y María Elena es la Coordinadora de Administración y Finanzas, ambos de la empresa donde yo laboraba y mediante la cual me jubilé.
Como teníamos mucho tiempo sin vernos, nos dispusimos a ponernos al día, entonces charlamos de cómo estábamos, qué habíamos hecho y aproveché para que Joseph me revisara y configurara un Reuter y María Elena le había dicho para que le configurara un teléfono que le habían regalado.
A mi amiga María Elena la conocí en el año 2007, trabajamos juntas en una empresa y luego ambas salimos de allí para otros trabajos, cada una por su lado; pero, el 31 de diciembre de 2021 me envió un mensaje de feliz año y me dijo que necesitaba trabajar, me preguntó si la podía ayudar, pues ya tenía 62 años y no había encontrado trabajo desde hacía más de un año.
Debido a su experiencia y conociendo su profesionalismo como Contadora, hice la propuesta y fue aceptada por la empresa donde yo trabajaba, ingresando desde el 17 de enero de 2022; trabajó bastante para poner al día la contabilidad hasta que lo logró, pero en noviembre de ese mismo año fue al médico y después de unos exámenes le dieron una noticia devastadora.
Mi querida amiga es una valiente, guerrera y sobreviviente de un cáncer de mamas. Yo no la veía desde que le diagnosticaron esa terrible enfermedad y unos días antes de su intervención quirúrgica; durante su recuperación postoperatoria se realizó las quimioterapias y las radioterapias, lo que duró aproximadamente un año, sufriendo efectos secundarios que la pusieron en riesgo, hasta una fuerte infección intestinal sufrió, llegando a pesar sólo 48 Kg.
Manteníamos contacto sólo por teléfono cuando ella se sentía un poco mejor, pues cada sesión del tratamiento la dejaba totalmente agotada, aún está un poco débil y le duele la zona intervenida.
Ya ha pasado un año desde su intervención y ha cumplido sus terapias, ahora le están aplicando tratamiento multivitamínico intravenoso para aumentar sus defensas, que dura tres horas y se lo hace cada tres días, tal como una quimioterapia, según sus propias palabras.
Se encuentra parcialmente de reposo todavía, laborando sólo 2 días a la semana, pero queda devastada al terminar su jornada laboral, aunado a que apenas le está saliendo el cabello de nuevo y le da pena que sus compañeros la vean en esas condiciones, ¡Lo importante es que está viva!
Preparé un rico almuerzo para mis amigos y entre charlas y charlas terminamos de comer y no saqué la foto 🤣 🤣 🤣; pero, llegó la hora de la merienda, hice un delicioso café y brindamos por este agradable reencuentro.
El café lo acompañamos con unos deliciosos ponquecitos con cubierta de merengue y chispas de chocolate y caramelos; ¡por supuesto no los hornee yo!, los compré en una repostería cerca de mi casa, son muy buenos; a mi nieta Camila les encantan y les dice “pastelitos”.
Fue maravilloso compartir con mis amigos este momento, tan sencillo pero significativo para nosotros, con risas y lágrimas, pero nos vimos, nos abrazamos y damos gracias a Dios por la vida y por estar aquí.
Así terminó nuestro encuentro casual, qué felicidad cuando tus amigos te dan este tipo de sorpresa, recordando anécdotas y uno que otro acontecimiento laboral y por qué no, algunos chismecitos también 🤭 ja ja ja.
Tiempo sin vernos; pero, al encontrarnos parecía que había sido ayer que estábamos en el día a día del trabajo, resolviendo los asuntos, cuadrando las cuentas y atendiendo cada caso de los trabajadores.
La verdadera amistad no mide tiempo y espacio, siempre está ahí presente, así no nos podamos ver seguido está latente, y en cualquier momento da una grata sorpresa como la que me dieron a mí ayer.

A WELCOME UNEXPECTED VISIT
Hello my beautiful people of Hive. Today I share with you that, a very, very pleasant surprise was given to me by two of my dearest friends, former co-workers.
It turns out that yesterday, during the hustle and bustle of the morning, doing the household chores, washing, cleaning and cooking, I hear my doorbell ring and when I peeked out, I couldn't believe it, my dear friends What a surprise!
Like an arrow I ran to the door, leaving everything I was doing, to receive them, how much joy I felt at that moment.
My friend Joseph, is a T.S.U. in Computer Science and works in the area of Information Technology as technical support and Maria Elena is the Coordinator of Administration and Finance, both from the company where I worked and through which I retired.
Since we hadn't seen each other for a long time, we set out to catch up, so we chatted about how we were doing, what we had been up to and I took the opportunity to have Joseph check me out and set up a Reuter and Maria Elena had told him to set up a phone she had been given as a gift.
I met my friend Maria Elena in 2007, we worked together in a company and then we both left there for other jobs, each one on her own; but, on December 31, 2021 she sent me a happy new year message and told me that she needed to work, she asked me if I could help her, because she was already 62 years old and had not found a job for more than a year.
Due to her experience and knowing her professionalism as an accountant, I made the proposal and she was accepted by the company where I worked, entering from January 17, 2022; she worked hard to update the accounting until she did it, but in November of that same year she went to the doctor and after some tests she was given devastating news.
My dear friend is a brave, feisty breast cancer survivor. I had not seen her since she was diagnosed with this terrible disease and a few days before her surgery; during her postoperative recovery she underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy, which lasted about a year, suffering side effects that put her at risk, even a strong intestinal infection she suffered, weighing only 48 kg.
We kept in touch only by phone when she felt a little better, because each treatment session left her totally exhausted, she is still a little weak and the operated area hurts.
It has been a year since his intervention and he has completed his therapies, now he is receiving intravenous multivitamin treatment to increase his defenses, which lasts three hours and is done every three days, just like a chemotherapy, according to his own words.
She is still partially resting, working only 2 days a week, but she is devastated at the end of her working day, and she is just starting to grow her hair back and she feels sorry for her colleagues to see her in this condition, but the important thing is that she is alive!
I prepared a delicious lunch for my friends and between chats and chats we finished eating and I didn't take the picture 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣; but, it was time for the snack, I made a delicious coffee and we toasted for this nice reunion.
We accompanied the coffee with some delicious little cakes with meringue topping and chocolate chips and candies; of course I didn't bake them myself, I bought them at a bakery near my house, they are very good; my granddaughter Camila loves them and calls them "pastelitos".
It was wonderful to share with my friends this moment, so simple but meaningful for us, with laughter and tears, but we saw each other, hugged each other and thank God for life and for being here.
So ended our casual encounter, what happiness when your friends give you this kind of surprise, remembering anecdotes and one or another work event and why not, some gossip too 🤭 ja ja ja.
Time without seeing each other; but, when we met it seemed like yesterday that we were in the day to day work, solving issues, balancing the accounts and attending each case of the workers.
True friendship does not measure time and space, it is always there, even if we can not see each other often is latent, and at any time gives a pleasant surprise like the one I got yesterday.
