CLIMBING MOUNT GEDE FROM DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS

in voilk •  4 months ago

Mount Gede is a climbing object that can be reached from several directions and my friends and I have done it from two different directions. The two directions are from Cibodas and from Putri. Both have tracks or climbing terrain that are equally exciting. The only difference is in the contour of the land, that is, if we climb via Cibodas the ground contour is rocky, while climbing from the direction of Putri the ground contour is red soil and tree roots. For the duration of the climb to the top of Mount Gede, the climb from Cibodas is longer with a time difference of up to 4 hours. In this post I want to share some information from photos from both directions of the climb.

Climbing from the direction of Cibodas we will be presented with more beautiful natural views. Some quite beautiful places before reaching the top of Mount Gede include Telaga Warna, Gayonggong bridge, hot springs, and the devil's climb.

Telaga Warna is a lake with green water and is on the edge of the climb. A lake that is quite beautiful, all climbers usually take several photos to immortalize.

Gayonggong Bridge, a fairly long wooden bridge. From this bridge we can see the incident of Mount Pangrango. On either side of the bridge are listed trumpet flowers which are quite beautiful. This bridge was made because it was impossible for climbers to climb because there was mud under the bridge.

The hot spring track is quite dangerous if we are not careful because at the edge of the track is a ravine and below it there are hot springs. If we pass this track we have to be careful.

Devil's climb. An uphill climbing terrain with a slope of almost 90 degrees and rocky contours. On this climb, there is a webbing rope which is used as a holding tool to make it easier for climbers to continue their journey. And from the devil's climb it still takes several hours to travel to the top of Mount Gede.

Climbing via the princess direction. Climbing the peak of Mount Gede via the Putri direction takes around 4 hours on the climbing terrain in the form of red soil and tree roots. On the women's route climb, we are presented with a monotonous natural view, namely only trees and tree roots which form the basis for our footing. Below are some photos of the climb via the princess route.

There are 4 rest posts for climbing via the women's route. After passing post 4 we will arrive at a fairly wide expanse of location, namely Surya Kencana. It is at this location that climbers set up tents before reaching the peak of Mount Gede.

Thank you to all friends who have stopped by my post. Hope you are all healthy and happy
