I had an hour put aside today to meet on Zoom with Rosanna to create something for Day 17 of The 100 Day Project.
I decided to do some more work on the cluster book as my friend's birthday is fast approaching and it's been a while since I worked on it.
Feeling a bot bored with using paper, I looked around for an alternative and found a big bag of ribbons. I thought they would work OK since they are flat. There's also plenty of them so I'd be reducing my stash which is always a bonus.
I've never done clusters with ribbons before though so I wasn't sure if they'd turn out OK.
All these ribbons came from clothing (those little ones you get in the shoulders to hook onto a clothes hanger) or from cake boxes or other wrapping. My Mum usually brings a few when she comes to visit and they have built up over the years.
Rather fittingly, whilst I was on the phone this afternoon I was able to sort them out a bit. 😁
The photograph I took of the sorted out bag didn't work out very well so you'll have to take my word for it that I made a good job of it.
I mostly sorted the ribbons by colour and added them into smaller bags. I also wrapped some of the wider ones around cards.
These are the 2 clusters I managed to create this morning. I stuck the ribbons onto some of the brown wrapping paper that was life from yesterday.
I'm happy with these and will create a couple more at some time so I have 4 to add to a page in the cluster book.
