Red flags in a relationship... Funny but beautiful how colours are a significant part of relationships and what they mean in relationships.
How greenlight means show of interest and desires while red flags mean warning signs. Not to divert, our focus here are the red flags in a relationship.
What's a relationship?
Relationship is simply the way two or more people or things are connected or simply the state of being connected. You can either be connected by blood, friendship, love or even association.
What's a red flag?
A red flag particularly in a relationship is seen as warning signs or indications that something is a problem.
In a relationship every single person has a red flag, although we don't always see that part of ourselves, it's left to the partner to see it and know, cause not everything which is a red flag to one person is a red flag for everyone. Everyone has what they feel are red flags to them. It's important for couples or those in a relationship to learn to look beyond the love they have for a person and spot the possible red flags in order to take the right decision. Like they say, love is blind. A person in love doesn't always see the problem like those around them.
There are a whole lot of red flags and even things we think can be overlooked are also red flags. I'll be talking a bit about a few things I consider red flags personally:
❌ Hot temper/Anger : personally I take a person's ability to handle his anger and temper very seriously, cause you see me, I'm sure my mouth is a red flag (lol) someone who doesn't have patience and is easily angered will get angry with me easily and I'm not ready for a hot tempered person to burst my lips out of anger. So yeah, anger/hot temper is a red flag for me
❌ A man who talks too much: you could call this a pet peeve or so, but as a man, once you talk too much ehhnn it's a turn off/red flag to me ooo. Please leave the talking to me as your woman. As a man why you go dey talk plenty?
❌ Pride : you see this thing called pride baa, some people can mistake self confidence for it and it's very annoyingggg. Once a guy has pride it can never be hidden and it gets very disgusting to me. You can always exude your confidence without being proud naa. Pride is a red flag I look out for even with a friend seff.
❌Insensitivity : pleaseeeee be sensitive to my emotions 😩😩 once you're insensitive to how I feel it's a big nooooo. Being sensitive to how I feel shows that you care and are present, if you aren't then we should have a rethink of what we are doing please.
❌Belittling people /arrogance : please why should a person look down on someone or belittle a person as a human beinggg?? Looking down on someone is something that can never sit well with me and so I cannot find myself dating or being in a relationship with someone who does. It's a big red flag!
Like I said earlier there are a host of other things considered as red flags, the list goes on. Once you notice a red flag, it is best you leave if you cannot manage or contain. Always remember a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage and love/ relationship should be enjoyed and not endured.
