The Canadian government kind of went overboard for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, meaning they issues a lot of different stamps and many coin sets! (This is an understatement) These three stamps were issued in early 1976. For the first time in Olympic history, the host country Canada was allowed to showcase our culture through several weeks of concerts, pageants, and exhibitions. Featuring talent in performing arts, plastic arts, graphic arts, and handicrafts. Public participation was encouraged for all these events, especially for the children. My favourite is the 50 cent stamp, which features various musical instruments, how about you? Thanks for stopping by.
