Lately, I've been enjoying trying out different types of bread at home. I don't know why I love trying new bread recipes that I've never tried before at home. This time, it's a simple bread that has a spectacular taste and beautiful appearance.
Mayonnaise Corn Bread
Mayonnaise cornbread is a mayonnaise-topped bread with a very authentic flavor. It is made with simple bread but when combined with corn, it becomes very tasty. Now my friend calls this bread very similar to Korean bread, but I don't know enough about this bread to know that I found it on social media some time ago.
Well after searching for several recipes, and seeing reviews on social media this cornbread has its own characteristics with a unique taste and attractive color. Here I will take you through the step-by-step preparation!
Bread Ingredients
2 tablespoons milk powder
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter
120 ml warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
Topping
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
Making Procedure
Combine the ingredients to make bread in the form of flour powdered milk stir until evenly distributed.
Then add sugar and also instant yeast stir until everything is evenly mixed.
Add butter eggs, then add water stir until everything is mixed, here I use a mixer to knead the dough, do it until the dough is smooth.
Rest the dough, cover with a cloth for 20 minutes or until it doubles in size.
Now while waiting for the dough to rest corn on the cob has been shelled added in a container then mix mayonnaise and also sweetened condensed milk.
Stir both until well mixed, make sure the texture is creamy like in the picture.
After the dough has risen, then deflate the dough, and divide the dough into 8 parts and then form a round dough.
Rest the dough again for about 1 hour then give a hole in the center of the bread dough.
Add the mayonnaise corn filling on top that has been hollowed out in the center.
Then bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes using top and bottom heat. Don't forget to sprinkle it with green onions or you can also use parsley leaves.
Result
Tara mayonnaise cornbread is ready to serve, it is delicious served hot or at room temperature. I even kept it in the fridge for two days and it still tasted very good. I think it's perfect as a breakfast bread even if you are traveling. Yeah bread is quite filling especially with this delicious corn topping.
Savory, sweet with a very fragrant aroma of corn mayonnaise so flavorful. Especially when the melted milk comes out in between the bites of bread adding to the deliciousness that cannot be matched. I highly recommend you make this bread because it has a very good flavor.
