ANOTHER LEVEL, ANOTHER PHASE OF LIFE - Hive Naija Weekend Threading | Week 24

To God be the glory, it's all about my perseverance that works it out for me.

In life, there must be something that leads to something, knowingly or unknowingly, sometimes not because you are the most qualified person but because of time and chance.

Moreover, another person's mistake, error, insincerity, unfaithfulness, non-challenge attitude, etc. is another person's stepping stone to a new level or position of leadership.

    IT HAPPENS TO ME.

I stepped into a phase of leadership for the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) as a result of my predecessor’s ill-conceived ideological approach or style of leadership. Being so regular, Mr. knows all, and I can do it alone. His leadership style scares people away, and he leaves us alone. Even with that, he couldn't apply flexibility until his teno alaps, and there's no one to aspire to his office of leadership.

I considered myself unqualified for so many reasons, and I have never held such a post (Chairman) before in any organization. I was shy and afraid of being incapacitated financially, by my school level, etc. The office was there without anybody apart from me.

When I made up my mind and aspired for the post of chairmanship of NAPPS in Itu Chapter with the full support of the Honorable Ubaha, I went and consulted the incumbent chairman, who turned out to make things difficult for me since he wanted nobody to take over from him. He fought me directly and indirectly, but to no avail. He then asked me to take his daughter to be my general secretary; I disagreed.

That gave me another phase of trouble; he worked all around to disqualify me, but his effort was abortive since no other person qualified or was aspiring for the post. He tried to raise a candidate for the post and form a structure, but couldn't. I contested the election and won unopposed. Today, I am currently NAPPS Chairman, Itu Chapter.

It wasn't easy, but I made it at last. Truly another phase of leadership. Currently 3 months and 7 days old, NAPPS CHAIRMAN, ITU CHAPTER. My administration, in the past few months, could boast of extraordinary change.

Thanks, as you will read and comment on my work.❤️❤️
