Hello friends, on Saturday afternoon my son and I went to hang out in the plaza next to the National Pantheon. The sun was incredibly strong and there was so much light that I took the opportunity to take a few pictures to show you how the day was. My little boy enjoyed a lot playing with the ball, running around and playing with the ball and doing tricks everywhere.
These fun moments are propitious to connect with this mini teenager that I now have at home, one that sometimes prefers to be on the TV non-stop for hours, or on my or his dad's cell phone while he plays whatever he wants. Anyway, I have to generate these moments outdoors where he can really stretch his legs and do something else that doesn't include a screen in front of him.
In these times where it is a challenge to exercise motherhood and fatherhood, these spaces of disconnection are valuable and very necessary; because everywhere you look the predisposition to technological dependence is almost a struggle that seems not to be easily defeated. That is why it should be imperative to find spaces where nature is the main shelter and distraction for our kids. I am fully confident that right there is the way to stop the not at all beneficial advances of the growing technological demand.
I love technology, but it seems to me that everything in due time in the hands of our children. Just as I consider that balls, board games and other distraction tools are a wonderful way to have a bond of love, teaching and healthy fun with children.
Let's look for these spaces, even if it is only one hour a day. Believe me, the benefits are wonderful.
