Hello Actifitters!
I made braised pig leg for lunch today. Last night, I was going through my feed when I came across a mukbang video of a guy devouring a giant pork leg. I was jealous, but it was already too late for me to get cooking. To make sure I could still get fresh pork legs at the wet market, I got up early today. To cook with it, I also bought some vegetables. Fortunately, I already have all the spices I require in my kitchen, including some Chinese and star anise. In the pantry, I also have some dried chitake mushrooms that are leftover from last week.
Since I don't have a pressure cooker, I just boiled it and let it simmer in a pan with a lid. Slowly cook it for almost 2 hours until all the meat and fats are tender. My postmenstrual cravings are so satisfied when I devour them with my hands over lunch. Pork leg collagen and bone marrow are my favorite parts. Writing this report made me hungry all over again!
