Another day another bout of rain that swept through the region. It didn't amount to too much, only a tenth and it was gone by the time the sun came up. It was nice to not have to warm the car up before taking the boys to school.
It's fun to go see where the Fedex plane is with my package. From the hub in Nashville the regular morning flight into Spokane was a little late yesterday. Normally I will see the plane landing at about 6am when I am in town getting grain... I watch it fly over me towards the airport. So I know it is the regular route and when I see the tracking show the package left Nashville I can go find the plane on flightradar.
I went to start a print after swapping the filament and it was a while before I noticed nothing was printing. I eventually found that one of the wires had broken clean at the motor. REALLY annoying. I ordered a new one that will be here today and I am going to use the high temp gasket goo to make a nice thick mound so this won't happen again. If it does there will be enough wire left for me to work with and fix.
I finally figured out how to get the internet working correct in the studio. I took our old wifi router down and then had to find my usb to cat 5 connector that was buried in a bin in the house. After a few rounds of frustration I got everything to work right so now the laptop is wired and we have good wifi available.
Mid day the clouds cleared for a while and we got a bit of sunshine to try and dry a bit of the still hanging wet from the morning rains.
The board needed to be rotated, it's been a while since I did it and I can tell by looking at the cleanness of the various areas. The new 20 used to be the 2, which is NEVER used so it is all clean and new looking. I can also tell by the sound of the dart hitting that a turn was needed. I also took the flat nail clippers to the various areas that had bulged a bit and to smooth out the bits that were uneven.
PDC was on and a few matches were a bit of a surprise. Poor Bunting can't win for losing and Humphries went out first round.
The timing chains arrived. I was not prepared to use them yet as I have to tear the motor apart to do so which means draining the oil and coolant again. I am also wanting to check the compression so I hauled my tester out and am planning to test the cylinders today. I really should do the same to the sled.
The final was MVG against Luke and Luke pulled out a 9 dart finish.
So incredibly difficult for normmies but he just has the knack.
Out working on the truck I looked to the west to see the wall of wet moving up the valley. It went mostly around the farm and just sprinkled, the real rains were north of us in the meat of the cell.
Caps played and it didn't take Great 8 long to get his 888th goal putting him just 7 away from the record. He should do it this season for sure.
Out to soak for a bit but not too long. I was out and in bed early.
Today the PDC Euro tour day 1 is on already, I'll get the boys to school in a bit, work on the truck, prep for the tournament tomorrow, fix the printer when the motor arrives, should check the upper property, then will do burgers for dinner tonight.
