Garden Diary Part 2 "White, Pink, and Red"
I posted the 'Garden Diary' the other day. This time, I am posting photos of white, pink, and red flowers. I believe flowers should grow naturally instead of being trimmed too much because I don't want to cut them excessively. However, I noticed that some of the flowers need treatment and constant care. I stopped feeling bad about cutting or trimming some of the plants.
When I trim them, I tell them, 'this is just a haircut.' I don't want them to feel pain or shame. Just as I don't like someone cutting my hair badly, I feel the same about these plants. I try to make them look cooler after trimming them as much as I can.
I am not sure about the name of this flower, but I guess it is Galium gracilens Makino. They are very similar to Galium trifidum subsp, which has three petals. This Galium gracilens Makino has four petals. They are very pretty, charming flowers.
This is a peony flower. Last year, I posted about peonies, but I don't see many of them this year. However, I feel they bloom more when it is hotter. This is such an elegant flower.
Hosta Sieboldiana is doing well. Down there, there is another hosta as well, but it has not started yet.
This is Rosa multiflora, also called the Japanese rose or baby rose. This rose bush has been in my backyard for a long time, but I have never seen the flowers until now. Finally, the flowers are blooming like this! They are very pretty and splendid!
This is Sweet William, which is also called America Nadeshiko in Japanese. They look so gorgeous and attract my attention a lot.
This red rose is coming back this year! Yay! It wasn't doing well for a few years, but it recovered last year.
This is a geranium. It's so vivid against the green bush.
These are red elderberry fruits. The flowers are white and the fruits are red. Birds like to eat them. Birds ate them all already.
This is a Japanese meadowsweet called Shimotsuke in Japanese. I trimmed it early this spring, and it looks so happy this summer!

庭日記パート２ 「白、ピンク、赤」
「庭日記」を前回投稿しました。今回は白、ピンクと赤の花をテーマに庭の様子を投稿します。花はあまり頻繁に手入れをするよりも自然に育つ方がいいと思っているところがありましたが、常に丁寧な手入れが必要な花もあるのだと気づきました。カットしたり剪定したりすることにあまり抵抗感がなくなりました。
剪定するときは痛かったり恥ずかしい見た目にならないように「ちょっとヘアカットするだけですよ」と心の中で伝えながら切ります。私も自分の髪の毛を変にカットされるのは嫌なので、植物にとっても同じようなものだと思うのです。できるだけかっこよく見えるように剪定したいものです。
この花の名前はよくわからなかったのですが、おそらくコバノヨツバムグラ（ヒメヨツバムグラ）だと思います。３つの花びらをもつホソバノヨツバムグラにとても似ていますが、コバノヨツバムグラは花びらが４つあります。とてもかわいらしくチャーミングな花です。
これはシャクヤクです。去年、シャクヤクについて書いたことがあります。今年は少し花が咲くのが遅いようです。もう少し暑くなると満開を迎えると思うのですが。とても優雅な花です。
これはオオキボウシ、元気そうです。 キボウシもこの下にあるのですが、今年はまだ花が咲いていません。
これはノイバラで、ジャパニーズローズとも呼ばれるようです。裏庭にこのノイバラがあるのは知っていたのですが、花が咲いたのは今年が初めてです。ついに満開になりました！とてもかわいらしく素敵な花です。
これはアメリカナデシコです。とてもゴージャスで魅力的な花です。
この赤いバラが今年も咲きました！やったぁ！数年前まで元気がなかつたのですが、去年から復活しました。
これはフウロソウ属です。パッと鮮やかで、緑の草むらの中にとっても映えます。
セイヨウニワトコの実です。花は白で実は真っ赤です。鳥たちが食べるのが大好きであっという間になくなります。
これはシモツケの花です。初春に剪定をしたので今年の夏は調子が良さそうです。
