    AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Hello everyone! I'm back on track. So lately, I have no ultimate idea on what I should be publishing due to my hectic schedules. So until I have no personal experiences to share, I will finally be incorporating my love for writing by posting stories here on HIVE. I hope you like this first uploaded story of mine. Please stay tuned for more in the future.

    10 Different Shades of Blue

Ctto: I had inspiration to write this story because I remembered the first acrylic painting I did last year.

    OC's POV:

The world seemed to fade away into a breeze, wanting to take myself away with its presence. The sand beneath me was serene, allowing my mind to drift off the shore as the crystal blue waters slowly approached the soles of my feet. The enthralling scene made me feel like I was being pulled into an endless void that gave away an oddly comforting feeling.

"Why do people find empty spaces so pretty?" I mumbled under my breath while placing a worn-out book on my lap that was probably left by one of the tourists a while ago.

"A Painter's Plight." I read out by the cover before dusting off the grime from the pages.

"Maybe because there's more to them than just being hollow intervals." a familiar voice called out from behind.

"I just don't understand how people find serenity just by gazing at the sky and seas for hours." I huffed in frustration, kicking the rocks into the water.

"It may seem like they're just a void of empty spaces. But there's always beauty in the depths of it. Like the sea. Looks plain from the surface because of the leaves going back and forth. "Yet when you see what's under, there's a whole life out there." the man pointed.

I consciously lifted my head up to look at the dark, empty, yet tranquil sky.

"Just like the sky, people often see it as an endless void. Conversely, beyond our perception lies a whole other universe." he added.

The atmosphere hung heavy with a profound silence, broken only by the faint rustle of leaves in the breeze.

"Makes me wonder why it isn't the same for people."

"Those hollow souls find solace only in the enchanting vistas, oblivious to the emptiness that mirrors their own. " I asserted, trying to be cautious of my words and intonation.

The man let out a soft chuckle and sighed.

"They just don't look right where the sky meets the sea." he replied.

A puzzled expression crossed my face as I glanced at him, silently questioning his statement.

"What do you mean by that?" a hint of curiosity escaped my lips.

"The breathtaking landscapes give the impression of connection, but their boundaries stretch infinitely, reflecting the infinite possibilities of existence. Similarly, individuals are attracted to apparent emptiness, unaware of the extraordinary beauty that lies beyond." he smiled.

As the night lingered, I felt myself slowly regaining consciousness. The silent ambiance echoed throughout the shore although I could hear the waves coming up to the surface. I caught myself gazing into the distance, as if searching for something elusive, and soon a faint smile graced my lips.

"See you. Where the sky meets the sea."

This story is made purely out of fiction! For those who do not understand the concept of the story, the man in the story was the girl's lover, who unfortunately passed away due to a tragic accident at sea. Which is why you can see in the narration that the girl is seen sitting there alone, contemplating on her thoughts until a man showed up. In the near end of the story, you can notice the line: "I felt myself slowly regaining consciousness." which means that the guy visited her in her dreams. During the whole story, the girl kept on asking questions, which seemed unanswered until he came by. The line: "The breathtaking landscapes give the impression of connection, but their boundaries stretch infinitely, reflecting the infinite possibilities of existence. Similarly, individuals are attracted to apparent emptiness, unaware of the extraordinary beauty that lies beyond." hinted on the closure she needed. The line meant that even though two beautiful creatures will never meet again due to the fate that was destined to one of them, their love will still continue to bloom further, extending to the infinite wonders of the universe.
