Happy Easter Sunday everyone. The rise of Jesus to save us is amazing. Either we fall , He is off forgiving. We should appreciate this in our whole life, we are not perfect but still He redeemed us.
At home, we attention online mass and listened the fruitful homily. We stopped doing everything. And all my working student wentvti their church. They are Christian and we are Catholic.
When they came home, we made native foods from cassava. Our Giovanni is a good chef ever. He helped me a lot.
Puto Cassava
The final result.
Cassava is our basic rootcrop in my hometown Bohol and also in the indegenous place where I am teaching. They know how to carefully process it to avoid poison. It may caused poison if we don't remove the extraction or the liquid from it. Everyone must be careful in processing it into cooking for food.
We were busy washing the cassava, grated it until midnight and drained to removed the liquid or water which is the cassava starch.
In the morning we mixed it with grated coconut and brown sugar before molding it with cup.
The steamer was ready boiling the water and then put the molded cassava mix into the steamer which was hardly boiling. Let it on fire until you reach the desire time to stop it. Giovani knew the timing and we were just watching and helping him.
After remove from the molder cup, he put some grated young coconut to have the best aroma and presentation. You can see the first picture, that is the final and ready to eat puto cassava.
My mother when she was alived , made it for us but now she is in heaven. Thank you for reading my blog.
