I want to dedicate some articles to the inhabitants of the garden who accompany us, sometimes they help and other times they harm the work we have done. But they have the same right to live as we do and with whom we share our day to day.

Today for the first article I wanted to introduce you to the sphinx butterfly or as some know it the European hummingbird. This beautiful butterfly spends the day in my garden especially in summer. In winter it usually migrates to North Africa.
It is a very characteristic butterfly that behaves more like a bee or bumblebee than a butterfly. It maintains a static flight like hummingbirds while it feeds with its long proboscis.
In my garden it enjoys the honey plants I have planted around it and among the vegetables it loves the bean flowers in my garden. It is very easy to observe although it is skittish if you get close to it. But it is ideal for taking photographs as it remains quite static in flight and allows you to take your time.
It is best to focus on the flowers where it usually goes and wait for the moment to capture the image.
Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!
