I am feeling better now, and I’m very thankful for it. Although I still have a bit of phlegm, I believe it will be gone in a few days. I think this is the final stage of the illness—the last bit of phlegm that my body is trying to discharge. Once it’s all gone, that will be the sign that I am fully recovered from the flu, which lasted almost a week.
Now, my focus will be on improving my immune system to the point where I won’t be so easily susceptible to viruses that cause colds or flu. I think the reason I got sick recently was the abrupt changes in weather. There was also a day when I was caught in a drizzle, which likely triggered it. Although I don’t usually get sick from something as minor as a drizzle, I suspect my immune system was coincidentally low at the time. To strengthen it, I’ll make sure to get sufficient sleep, eat healthy food, and stick to my exercise routine.
Today, I went for a walk and managed to complete a total of 14,474 steps. I consider this a great achievement since my daily goal is 10,000 steps—that’s almost 50% more than my target!
I also made it to the gym for some weight training. I worked on my upper chest, upper back, and core. That’s about it for today. Tomorrow marks the start of a new week, so I plan to sleep early tonight to ensure I have enough energy for Monday.
