Long ago the adult lived in harmony with life, then everything changed when expenses attacked. Only the Salary, master of all billing could stop them. But when the adult needed it the most, it vanished.
You know Adulthood is just like the Cartoon series titled Avatar.
First, you have to spend years going through series of training under the tutelage of several teachers in other to obtain a degree and the needed enlightenment to become knowledgeable, so as to be able to create value which will earn you the "problem" solver called money.
It is also worthy to note that, it is this theoretical, practical, and sometimes field experiences in addition to the degree or certificate obtained, that will get you through the employment window to secure a good paying job or business start up, so as to be able to afford Water, Housing(earth), gas and electricity (fire) and then the internet (air). Succinctly put, there is no rest for the adult. The moment you cross childhood e dun be.
But then, as the saying goes with money especially salary, it's never enough and that is where the problem begins, because it's when you need it the most to solve pressing needs it will vanish, and you will be shinning eye as your problems stare at you eye ball to eye ball.
You will just be managing your life small small then all of a sudden everything in your house will get exhausted almost simultaneously, gas will finish, foodstuff will get exhausted and rent will be due, electricity tarrif and data will be in one corner.
You know it is when I became an adult and started living alone I knew that salt use to actually finish in the house, because back then I was still dependent and living with my parents, I know year in year out the salt jar is always full no matter how generous we utilize it.
But now if you like be using scale to put small pinch in your food, it will still finish.
Then you see the word Adulthood is hard? It is relative.
Let's look at some scenarios.
Adult citizens from functioning and developed economies will not view adulthood like adult citizens from the third world countries.
In the third world countries, individuals from wealthy homes, and generational riches like the Tinubus will not view adulthood like the rest of us.
Now for those of us who do not have the luxury of family wealth, we are the ones shouting adulthood is hard.
It's even worse when you are a low income earner, because then you'd find yourself receiving all the insult in this life especially when you cannot meet up with your financial responsibilities.
