We are super excited to announce that we will be performing live at Andy's Club for the 2nd time!
Andy's club is an incredible initiative by Andy Mercer. Indented to bring together both experienced and budding musicians in an environment that is nurturing and engaged, it is also a wonderful challenge for everyone to create new and original music!
We have discovered after heated debate that the ideal performance to keep people actual/ real world audiences engaged is a ratio of 70% original to 30% covers. The idea being that you want people to hear your original music AND keep people engaged and interested, so throwing in a well known song here and there allows people to interact or even sing along if they feel like it
We will, however, be encouraging as much original music as possible, so that if a new artist/musician comes in and is performing for the 1st time, with just one song, we'd prefer it to be original!
It's a place for us to be both creative, to brain storm and even make mistakes from time to time. Our community is there to encourage us to keep going and to do the best we can every time we get back on stage.

We've been challenged to come up with brand new material. What made me realize that I needed to start writing some new songs badly, is that we've established that I only really have about 6 finished songs, which is horrific considering I have a song file of over 100 incomplete/ unfinished/ unheard songs. Most of those songs, however, are about 25 years old with a handful having been written even in this decade.
Song of Hope and Rockadoo are my newest songs and even Rockadoo has two years on it!
You can't force it though. I've tried. I've written a few songs over the last three years just to express my feelings (or to stop @jasperdick from nagging me 😂😂😜), but they seem to be more like poetry than songs. They're just not.... magical enough to be songs. There's something missing.
When lady muse strikes though, she strikes at 3am or while your on the loo or stuck in traffic or having a nap (hiding from the children) and you can't get the damn thing out of your head until you've written it down and put music to it! It's like an incredibly terribly annoying itch! It's indescribable! But, so is the joy that is felt when a song really starts coming together! And when you collaborate with and bounce ideas off new musicians, PURE MAGIC happens. And that is how a song is born.
Will we have new and completely previously unheard songs at Andy's Club? Well, you'll just have to watch this space and see for yourself, or better yet, come and see us live and join in the fun!!
