¡Un gran saludo a todos! Yo soy Mariangel, aunque en redes sociales suelen conocerme como Mavilan. Soy venezolana que reside en Venezuela, soy hija y hermana y la humana responsable de una linda perrita. Además, soy ingeniero civil y una fiel lectora de libros y mangas, apasionada de las series, animes y películas, fan de las historias románticas, mala en todos los deportes que impliquen un balón (risas), muy objetiva al momento de tomar decisiones, pero ¿cómo llegamos a todo esto? Bueno, te cuento.

A big greeting to all of you! I'm Mariangel, although in social networks I'm usually known as Mavilan. I'm a Venezuelan living in Venezuela, I'm daughter and sister and the responsible human of a cute little dog. Also, I am a civil engineer and a faithful reader of books and manga, passionate about series, anime and movies, a fan of romantic stories, bad at all sports involving a ball (laughs), very objective when making decisions, but how did we get to all this? Well, let me tell you.

Desde muy pequeña (más bien desde que nací), de una u otra manera estuve rodeada de arte, mis papás siempre me incentivaron a la lectura por ejemplo, y lo que empezó con mi papá leyéndome cuentos infantiles antes de dormir y mi mamá inventándolos para mí, terminó en una “pequeña cuentacuentos devoradora de libros” cuando tuve la capacidad de leer por mí misma (risas). Lo de “cuentacuentos” es real, mis papás me inscribieron en narración oral y le contaba cuentos a cientos de personas desde un escenario cuando mi estatura no superaba el 1.10 metros.
La música también fue una parte muy importante de mi formación, mi mamá tiene una voz muy bonita, les hago spoiler, yo no canto tan bien como ella (risas de nuevo {van a ver que me río de muchas cosas cuando me sigan leyendo}), y tanto ella como mi papá tocaban algunos instrumentos, así que lo que inició con un Cuatro Venezolano en casa y una Flauta Dulce, avanzó con estudios, una estudiantina y una orquesta, también aprendí Mandolina, algo de Bajo, Batería e incluso, por un tiempo aprendí un poco de Fagot, pero esa es una historia para otro día.

My parents always encouraged me to read, for example, and what started with my dad reading me bedtime stories and my mom making them up for me, ended up in a "little book devouring storyteller" when I had the ability to read by myself (laughs). The "storyteller" thing is real, my parents enrolled me in oral storytelling and I was telling stories to hundreds of people from a stage when I was no taller than 1.10 meters.
Music was also a very important part of my upbringing, my mom has a very nice voice, I spoiler, I don't sing as well as she does (laughs again {you'll see I laugh at a lot of things when you keep reading me}), and both her and my dad played some instruments, so what started with a Venezuelan Cuatro at home and a Recorder, advanced with studies, a estudiantina and an orchestra, I also learned Mandolin, some Bass, Drums and even, for a while I learned a little Bassoon, but that's a story for another day.

Otra cosa que me encanta y que lo hago aproximadamente desde los 6 años de edad es dibujar ¡lo amo! influenciada por los animes de los 90´s, mi amor por Sailor Moon perdura en el tiempo y esos fueron mis primeros dibujos, estas hermosas chicas guerreras que luchaban en nombre del amor y la justicia, por lo que verán que mis dibujos suelen tener dos estilos principales que serían, el manga de una forma estilizada y el estilo chibi que es el que más empleo en la actualidad.
Sigo siendo una gran fan del anime y en algún punto del recorrido también empecé a leer manga, ya son muchos años en esto muchachos (risas), mis géneros favoritos son el Shojo y el Isekai. Además, siempre que puedo leo algún cómic como Saga o Rat Queens y libros, por supuesto, eso es parte de mí, romance, ciencia ficción y fantasía épica son mis géneros favoritos.

Another thing I love and I do it since I was about 6 years old is drawing, I love it! influenced by the anime of the 90's, my love for Sailor Moon lasts in time and those were my first drawings, these beautiful warrior girls who fought in the name of love and justice, so you will see that my drawings usually have two main styles that would be, the manga in a stylized way and the chibi style which is the one I use the most nowadays.
I'm still a big fan of anime and somewhere along the way I also started reading manga, I've been doing this for many years guys (laughs), my favorite genres are Shojo and Isekai. Also, whenever I can I read some comics like Saga or Rat Queens and books, of course, that's part of me, romance, science fiction and epic fantasy are my favorite genres.

Como les contaba al inicio de mi presentación, soy Ingeniero Civil, aunque aún no tengo mi título (risas), calma, les explico, ya terminé toda mi carga académica, solo resta presentar mi tesis (que estamos a escasos meses de vivir ese suceso) y por supuesto, mi acto de grado, que espero compartirlo con todos por acá ¿por qué soy ingeniero civil? Aunque puedo contar toda una historia al respecto, por el momento solo diré que también estuve vinculada al mundo de las obras civiles desde niña porque mi papá era Técnico Superior en Construcción y al parecer yo heredé su gusto por ello además de su talento para dibujar y escribir.
En algún momento, las “películas en mi cabeza” necesitaban ser expresadas al exterior y comencé a escribir, sí, la “pequeña cuentacuentos devoradora de libros” ahora es una mujer que escribe sus propios relatos, el género romántico me caracteriza, aunque puede que también les comparta una historia de suspenso de vez en cuando.

As I told you at the beginning of my presentation, I am a Civil Engineer, although I still don't have my degree (laughs), calm down, I have finished all my academic work, I just need to present my thesis (we are just a few months away from that event) and of course, my graduation ceremony, which I hope to share with everyone here, why I am a civil engineer? Although I can tell a whole story about it, for the moment I will only say that I was also linked to the world of civil works since I was a child because my father was a Construction Technician and apparently I inherited his taste for it in addition to his talent for drawing and writing.
At some point, the "movies in my head" needed to be expressed to the outside and I started writing, yes, the "little book devouring storyteller" is now a woman who writes her own stories, the romantic genre characterizes me, although I may also share with you a suspense story from time to time.

Otra actividad que ocupa mi tiempo libre, son las manualidades, me caracterizo por reciclar y reutilizar materiales y también disfruto de hacer figuras de masa flexible. Dicho esto, mi contenido irá bastante orientado hacia los relatos, dibujos y manualidades, al menos por el momento. Deseo seguir aprendiendo cada día más para poder hacer mejores contenidos y espero encontrar aquí personas con las que tenga gustos afines y disfrutar de sus creaciones.
Llegue a Hive porque @kreuter2022 me extendió la invitación y se dio a la tarea de contestar todas mis dudas e inquietudes para dar el primer paso en esta nueva aventura (gracias, eres un sol) y he estado asistiendo a las clases de Hive desde cero con @soy-laloreto y los demás profesores, a quienes estoy también muy agradecida por tomar de su tiempo para enseñarnos a hacer las cosas de la manera correcta para empezar con buen pie.

English Version
Another activity that occupies my free time, are crafts, I am characterized by recycling and reusing materials and I also enjoy making figures of flexible dough. That said, my content will be oriented towards stories, drawings and crafts, at least for the moment. I want to keep learning more every day to be able to make better content and I hope to find people here with whom I have similar tastes and enjoy their creations.
I came to Hive because @kreuter2022 extended me the invitation and gave me the task of answering all my questions and concerns to take the first step in this new adventure (thank you, you are a sun) and I have been attending Hive classes from scratch with @soy-laloreto and other teachers, to whom I am also very grateful for taking their time to teach us to do things the right way to start off on the right foot.
