The rise of community based decision making on Inleo.

    Inleo Community

    • The world around us here on planet Inleo is changing rapidly as the User Interface changes, opportunities for rewards increase in number and for many of us the size of our Leo rewards are also increasing rapidly also. And for these blessings and more we are thankful.
    • But one change that perhaps we are not all aware of is the slowly evolving pattern of governance, and I wish to call attention to that in this post.

    Democracies are not really democracies

to match our level of activity within the community.

    • Democracy is one person, one vote, on every issue.
    • Small countries have been able to do this in the past, but most democracies are actually representative democracies with our representatives actually deciding everything for us.

DAOs are suppose to be different

    • DAOs are suppose let everyone vote, and most are stake weighted, but many are one account, one vote.
    • The oroginal Steemleo White paper spoke of this community eventually becoming DAO run, and we are evolving towards this goal.
    • The recent Sunsetting of Cubfinance and Polycub are good examples of this evolution of our commuity towards governance, and I think it deserves a pause to reflect on where we have been and where we are going.

    This is a longterm proposition

    • When we joined Steemleo, we were joining a community on a journey from where we were on Steemit to Hive and beyond.
    • This journey envisioned longform blogging, video blogging, short form content called Project Bank, decentralized finance, cross blockchain trading and eventually community governance. The Holy Grail or ultimate goal of decentralized distributed economies is a DAO, a Decentralized Autonomous Organization.
    • These are present in cryptocurrency society, in varying stages of development, and even various purposes. Some are for governance, some are for fund raising for profit and others fund raising for charity.
    • We have slowly evolved as a community to where we have staked based voting as we did on PolyCub and now staked based polling on Inleo to decide the fate of CUbfinance and Polycub.
    • While some may focus on the demise of Cubfinance and Polycub, not insignificant events, and definately a source of financial gain for some, and financial loss for others.
    • Which is of course the nature of investments, and reminds us to take responsibility for our investment decisions, take or profits or losses and move forward to bigger and better things.

We win some, we lose some.

    We acknowledging our feelings..

But we take responsibility for our decisions...

... and then we should move forward together, as a community.

    We are a community

    • We are a small but loyal community, characterized by many people, and many countries, but we share a love for this technology, and what it can do financially for us.
    • Let us focus on the lesson, not the loss, and let's not ignore the other positives developing within our community.
