Let It Ring Low - Digiprompts #30

I'm intentional about the type of songs or tunes I use for my ringtone. I hate ringtones that set off a loud, noisy alarm or tunes whenever a call comes in. So annoying, arrghh!. This is the reason I always go for a subtle, beautiful ringtone that wouldn't startle or disrupt those around me whenever my phone rings. We shouldn't be disturbing other people's peace with our ringtones, you know.

Sim 1 is a selection from my phone's gallery, while Sim 2, which is my main call line is an iconic one - Golden Wedding By Jo & Josephine.

I'm sure in you'll be wondering why mind the heck i'll be using such a song for my ringtone.

Well, i'm pleased to inform you that this song is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. From the first time I stumbled upon it on YouTube till today, it hasn't ceased to mesmerize me each time I hear it. It has held a special place in my heart. In fact, I've been sold on it.

I was preparing a jingle for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration in July 2020, and I needed an underscore music that would suit the jingle. Of all the golden jubilee anniversary songs I came across, this particular one captivated me. Immediately I heard it's beautiful melody and waltz-like rhythm, I began dancing to it, and didn't waste time to download it. It's lyrics spoke to me about the beauty of enduring love, togetherness, companionship, sacrifice, commitment, etc. often found in marriages.
After the jingle production, I shared it with my family members and everyone
    loved it, especially the song.

I've had this song as my ringtone since then, and I don't plan on changing it.
Whenever I hear it, I'm filled with gratitude, joy, and nostalgia. It reminds me of the love and commitment my parents have shared for five decades, and counting.

Another reason for sticking with this song is because of its uniqueness. I prefer something that stands out, not a common tune you hear every day or the type that everyone uses like the "Nokia tune", lol.

As for embarrassing ringtone moments, I can't recall having any. My ring volume is set low and I have always vibrate for calls activated too. The only time you'll hear my phone ring out is when it's out of my reach. Even then, the volume will be low that it won't disturb those around me. That's how mindful I am of others' space. Even when I'm with my phone but not ready or disposed to take a call, I'll simply put it on silent mode.

I've only had my younger brother and a close friend ask for the song, which I glady shared with them. But, they've long stopped using it, so I'm the only one using it now. 😅

This song is classical, evergreen. It's significance has gone beyond being just a ringtone. It has become for me, a personal anthem; symbolizing hope, love, and longevity. It inspires me to cherish relationships and look forward to celebrating my own milestones, including my golden jubilee anniversary one day.

    Thank you for reading.
