Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯. There are many who wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed to be here and in stellar health💯. So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some fruits and veggies. Next came the refreshing nap💤. Then I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news, There was also some interesting and exciting football matches going on.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze.
Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going.
Globally, as the holy month of Ramadan begins in Gaza, Palestinians are facing extreme hunger especially in the north😿.
A young lady and an infant are the latest to die of malnutrition and starvation. Bringing the total hunger deaths to 25😭.
In the last 24 hours, Israeli airstrikes have killed 84 Palestinians, bringing the death toll to 31,045 killed since October 7 😭.
US president Biden has criticized Netanyahu for failing to prevent civilian deaths in Gaza. He added that Israel has the right to pursue Hamas but Netanyahu's war strategy was painting Israel in bad light as lots of innocent Palestinian keep losing their life🙀.
Meanwhile, a US military ship is heading to Gaza to build a port to enable aid reach displaced Gaza civilians. It's gonna take close to two months to build🙀.
Let's go to Europe, Israel's president Isaac Herzog faced Gaza protest at Dutch holocaust museum. Protesters called for a ceasefire shouted slogans.
Then outrage in Ukraine over Pope Francis' call for courage to 'raise the white flag'🙀.
Also trending, polls have closed in Portugal where the centre right democratic party is set to oust the governing socialist party. Let's wait for the official announcement of the results😹.
Across the pond in US, it's Oscar night as Hollywood gears up for the 96th edition of the ceremony. Oppenheimer battles Barbie and Poor Things for Best picture award. The very funny Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting, am off to bed so will check out the highlights tomorrow😹.
The competition is stiff but may the best movies, actors, directors win 💯.
