Crocheting is something I love doing in my spare time, it makes me feel creative in a certain way that seems unexplainable to me, I love the fact that yarns can be used to make something unique, anything you could think or imagine.

I am in the process of mastering mini bags, and my reason behind this is to get used to making them for a while then I can advance by making the bigger sizes so when I get to that stage I'll be fully prepared and ready for whatever task I'm gonna face.

So here are the steps involved in making this mini granny square bag.

    Materials used

    Yarn
    Crochet needle
    Scissors

Step one: I started by making a magic ring, sounds big right, at first when I heard it, I was like what does a magic ring have to do with crocheting? But then it's a word used to describe the first pattern in crochet if you want to make a circle, some find it very easy to make well I'm not among those above though, so how do you make a magic ring? start by making a loop like you want to make a slip knot but then you won't tighten it, it will be as loose as possible, use your hook to pull out yarn through the back, and there you have a magic ring.

Step two: After making your magic ring make a chain of five and four double-crochets, make another chain of two and four double-crochets, and repeat the same process till you have a total of four, so your project is gonna have the shape of a square, then draw the other side of the yarn and tighten it and join the edges with a slip stitch.

Step three: For the third row, I started with a chain of three, and double crochet in the next two stitches then inside the space, I made two double crochet, two chains, and another two double crochet. After making this, for the two next stitches, I made double crochet each in the next two stitches, then I skipped the next four stitches inserted my hook in the fifth, made a double crochet then proceeded into the next space, repeating the same process till it got to the last stitch then I joined the edges with a slip knot. I repeated the same process till I got to my desired length of the bag then I joined with a slip stitch.

Step Four: For The handle of the bag I made a slip stitch in the next two stitches then I got to the first space I made a single crochet and a chain of one then I turned the bag to the left side and made a single crochet inside the chain I'd just made, I repeated the same process til It got to the length I wanted then I joined it to the other space and slip stitch. I did the same thing for the second handle.
