It's the beginning of the year but Sarah is feeling super jaded. Work just keeps piling and there seem to be no end to tasks. She drags herself to work each day, tired, deflated and just living by the day.
This went on for 2 months and she is feeling really burnt out. She went to her boss but instead of getting better, she felt no difference as her boss still expects her to complete the work.
After some thoughts, she realize she really need to hit pause and decide what is her next step. Dragging her feet to work each day is not going to help. She decided that, she really need to breakaway from work. Thus she told her supervisor that she would like to resign from her position, take a break for 2 months to travel and unwind.
And indeed after that 2 months break, Sarah felt so much more refreshed, but she knew, she will not want to go back to the same place to work.
