Blessed Needlepoint Monday, everyone. Whenever we have the opportunity to open our eyes to a new morning, we are very lucky and blessed. Today I bring you this nice project, easy and also economical because you spend little material, however it is very striking. In fact, I saw this design in @itafaria's profile, she is someone I follow on Instagram and she has wonderful models to fall in love with. I made some changes to this orange pattern and the truth is that I loved the process because it is very simple.

Bendecido lunes de agujas, tengan todos. Siempre que tenemos la oportunidad de abrir los ojos a una nueva mañana, somos muy afortunados y bendecidos. Hoy les traigo este lindo proyecto, fácil y además económico porque se gasta poco material, sin embargo queda muy llamativo. De hecho, este diseño lo ví en el perfil de @itafaria, ella es alguien a quien sigo en Instagram y tiene maravillas de modelos que enamoran. Yo realicé algunos cambios a este modelo de naranjas y la verdad es que me encantó el proceso ya que es muy sencillo.

This design has leaves that are perhaps a little different from the leaves of the oranges, they look more like a vine or maple leaf, but by putting the three leaves together, you can have a better base to hang the oranges. The leaves are worked separately. First we make a chain of 9 stitches. We skip the first stitch and continue knitting single crochet stitches along the chain. When we reach the last stitch we knit three single crochet stitches in the same stitch and continue to the other end, without reaching the last stitch. We go back knitting until we get to where we made the increases and there we only knit two increases. We go forward until we reach the penultimate stitch to repeat the process.

Este diseño tiene unas hojas quizás un poco diferentes a las hojas de las naranjas, parecen más una hoja de parra o de maple, pero al juntar las tres hojas, se puede tener una mejor base para luego colgar las naranjas. Las hojas se trabajan de forma separada. Primero realizamos una cadena de 9 puntos. Saltamos el primer punto y seguimos tejiendo puntos bajos a lo largo de la cadena. Al llegar al último punto tejemos tres puntos bajos en el mismo punto y seguimos hasta el otro extremo, sin llegar al último punto. Nos devolvemos tejiendo hasta llegar a donde hicimos los aumentos y allí solo tejemos dos aumentos. Avanzamos hasta llegar al penúltimo punto para repetir el proceso.

We knit three equal leaves. It is necessary to clarify that after the first round where we made an increase of three stitches, in the following rounds, we only make two increases of two stitches in the lower part of the leaf. Then we join the three leaves facing one of the sides and passing a simple stitch taking only a part of the chain that is formed on the edges of the leaves.

Tejemos tres hojas iguales. Es necesario aclarar que después de la primera vuelta donde hicimos un aumento de tres puntos, en las siguientes vueltas, solo hacemos dos aumentos de dos puntos en la parte baja de la hoja. Luego unimos las tres hojas confrontando uno de los lados y pasando una puntada simple tomando solo una parte de la cadena que se forma en los bordes de las hojas.

Now it's time to work with the oranges. For the complete orange we knit a circumference of 30 single crochet stitches in the diameter and from there 6 rows without increases. Then the corresponding decreases. For the half oranges we work with the same amount of stitches, but we reach half the size. In this stitch we work two discs of 39 stitches in the diameter, but we change from yellow to orange to get a beautiful contrast of colors.

Es hora de trabajar con las naranjas. Para la naranja completa tejemos una circunferencia de 30 puntos bajos en el diámetro y de allí 6 vueltas sin aumentos. Luego las disminuciones correspondientes. Para las medias naranjas trabajamos con la misma cantidad de puntos, pero llegamos a la mitad del tamaño. En este punto trabajamos dos discos de 39 puntos en el diámetro, pero cambiamos de color amarillo a naranja para quede un bello contraste de colores.

With a skin colored thread, we make some lines that will give us the appearance of the segments and then we join both parts, the half orange and the top part. It is important to sew only the yellow and beige parts together for a neater appearance.

Con un hilo color piel, realizamos unas líneas que nos darán la apariencia de los gajos y luego unimos ambas partes, la media naranja y la parte de arriba. Es importante unir cosiendo solo la parte amarilla y la beige para que tenga una apariencia más prolija.

We weave some small green cords to hold the oranges and join them to the leaf. We weave some white flowers like orange blossoms and we are ready.

Tejemos unos pequeños cordones en color verde para sujetar las naranjas y unirlas con la hoja. Tejemos unas flores blancas como las flores de naranjo y ya queda listo.
