This year I was just three hours away from wife and one child, but another child was some 8 hours away and Brazil and Perú did not get any closer.
We have somehow gotten used to separations. Every family I know has been branched out, even uprooted.
My kids have been away for over five years now and things may not only remain the same but get even worse if there is not a change in government this year.
We did our part voting for a change already. Other forces must now make the will of the people be respected. When the time comes, I hope people will do what must be done.
In the meantime, we wait.
This was the first coffee of the year and I decided to enjoy it by the pool.
I used my brother's pool for the first time ever. I want to think that this year will be for celebrations.
We deserve better and this should be the year the majority shows that determinación.
Let this year be the time for peace, Freedom and prosperity to be available for every Venezuelan who has fought to put an end to our political and economic nightmare.
