Yes, that game that we all played back in 2015, if you are between 18 and 25 years old I am sure you know it and will remember it with a certain nostalgia.
Transformice is an independent online platform video game created by the French known as Tigrounette and Mellibellule.
Mellibellule produces the game's graphics, while Tigrounette handles everything technical. The game was released on May 1, 2010. Later its fame exploded when it was released on Steam on January 30, 2015.
In the game, each player controls a charismatic mouse who must get a piece of cheese and bring it to the burrow. As they continue earning cheeses, points are added to the player's experience, which is to level up in the standings table. Once the player reaches the highest score on the table, the player becomes "Shaman" on the next map. As a shaman, the player can create and build objects and mechanisms on the map to help other mice get cheese and thus earn mouse save points and experience. Shamans can also hinder other mice, either accidentally or as a troll. The game is updated at a regular time to implement new events, add items to the in-game store where you can buy clothing accessories, skins, etc., or update the games mechanics.
Whether due to the charisma of the drawing, or the fun and competitive mechanics, this game has managed to capture the attention of millions of players, at least in its best moment.
Unfortunately, Transformice is no longer and will not be what it once was, it has fewer players every day, this may be due to several reasons, over time, many other online games have emerged that offer similar experiences or new mechanics that attract players. Games like Fortnite, Among Us and other multiplayer titles have captured the attention of the gaming community, leaving TFM aside. Furthermore, the lack of frequent updates or new content has caused players to lose interest. The developers have kept it pretty much the same for years.
However, that does not mean that Transformice is a game that many of us remember fondly and with a lot of nostalgia, and it will always have a place in our memories. Thanks for read
