Lindt Sprüngli
Yesterday I was in the brand new Lindt Shop at the local shopping center. They offer all kinds of chocolate. Nicely decorated with lots of delicious products. But not cheap at all.
Chocolate has become expensive. In the last year alone, the price of cocoa has doubled to around $11,000 per tonne. This is due to poor harvest yields. Lindt and other manufacturers have responded with price increases.
The stock of the swiss company is therefore running sideways but is still up +77% over the past decade while paying a reliable dividend on top. That‘s not bad at all.
Have you tried Lindt chocolate yet? How do you like the stock?
PS: Yes, one Lindt share costs more than 100.000 CHF currently and is behind Berkshire A one of the most expensive single stocks.
