I just Powered up 60 Hive to mark the first Hive Power Up Day of the Year...
Hive Power Growth January 2024...
I started the year on 101K Hive, and I'm finishing January on 102.2K Hive so that's a pretty impressive gain of 1200 Hive, a little short of what I'd like, but I've kept my Zing delegation going as the returns there have held up for longer than I thought they might, which means LESS in HP curation returns.
I'm happily stacking HBDs too, now being rewarded with something like $70 a month just for holding a slightly > $4K stack. In my brain thing I am targeting $20K HBD, as by the time I get there that'll probably be enough to pay my mortgage off and I want that kind of balance.
January on Hive...
The year started with the release of FreeChain on the Vimeo Indie film festival, I did my duty and watched and voted, but I assume that because no noise is coming from that direction that we got nowhere.
It's annoying that I can't seem to find out myself how we did on the voting, finding out info on this via Vimeo is not obvious, it's VERY invisible this film to the outside world - I mean I had to concentrate to be able to find it with links! Without them, you wouldn't even know it existed.
Rebellion Conflicts went live and I've been watching some friends of mine in Discord pile in with hundreds and thousands of dollars all for the sake of getting a few airdrop cards that'll probably end up being worth $5 a year from now. I don't get it, but there you go.
Kind of glad I've stuck with land, or maybe it's 'I'm stuck with land' but at least I'm in, no need to pile in too much more money ATM, just sit back and forget about it and wait.
the ZING price has held up remarkably well, I think maybe a little FOMO is kicking in, I'm selling into it, I've now easily got my starter packs funded and several hundred HBDs squirrelled away as a result. It's been good this!
And I joined LEO Premium... thinking I might post more finance related content, a little challenge to myself, and some more crypto content too, naturally.
Life in Jan...
Life in Jan is pretty good... New job, new GF, getting lighter, quit smoking, money's a bit tight, but I already agreed with myself I'm in a holding pattern for 2024, so that's OK, situation under review in September!
Overall, a top start to the New Year on chain and off!
