Magnetic Pincushion and Button Holder
I had already recycled this facial cream container to store buttons. I always save containers, my family always comes to me when they need a container of any size and I always, always have one.
I'm going to give this container where I keep buttons a double use. I removed the lid, cut out a photo paper where I had some designs printed, and made it the size of the lid, a little smaller and glued it on with hot silicone.
Alfiletero Imantado y Guarda Botones
Ya había reciclado este envase de una crema facial, para guardar botones. Siempre guardo envases, mi familia siempre recurre a mí cuando necesitan un envase de cualquier tamaño y siempre, siempre tengo.Este envase donde guardo botones le voy a dar un doble uso. Le retiré la tapa, recorté un papel de fotografía donde tenía unos diseños impresos, y lo hice del tamaño de la tapa, un poco más pequeño y se lo pegué con silicón caliente.

Ahora, a manera de plastificar la tapa, utilicé una cinta de embalar transparente, y recorté los excedentes.
Por la parte interna pegué un trozo de imán, con silicón caliente en los bordes del imán y alrededor.

Listo ya tengo esta herramienta que quería desde hace tiempo, Un Alfiletero Imantado, muy útil para retirar los alfileres y solo apuntar al alfiletero, no hay que estar buscando para introducirlos en ninguna otra parte. Incluso, cuando retiramos los podemos recoger todos en un solo movimiento
Lo amé, esta herramienta para mí es un 10/10. Ahora veo los otros con alfileteros de la abuela. Este Alfiletero además, sigue siendo un depósito para los botones de camisas, que guardo siempre. Estoy muy feliz con este resultado, te lo recomiendo al 100%.
Magnetic Guide
When I'm going to hem, for example, and I need to double-stitch and only use my hand or eye to do it, I do it very slowly to ensure that both seams are perfect or as perfect as possible. I have a double needle, but it's for very close double-stitching, like for baby clothes; but if I'm making clothes for adults, that double-stitching should be a little more spaced out.
I took recycled cardboard and made a little box, without one of its bases. I made the missing base with foam and glued another piece of magnet to it with hot silicone.
Guía Imantada
Cuando voy a hacer un dobladillo por ejemplo, y necesito realizar doble costura y solo con mi pulso o ojo para hacerlo, lo hago muy lento para garantizar que las dos costuras queden perfectas o lo más perfectas posible. Tengo una doble aguja, pero es para doble costura muy unidas, como para ropa de bebé; pero si estoy haciendo ropa para adultos, esa doble costura debe ser un poco más espaciada.
Tomé cartón reciclado e hice una cajita, sin una de sus bases. La base que faltaba la hice con foami y le pegué con silicón caliente otro trozo de imán.

I decorated the sides with white cardboard that has a very nice relief, although it can't be seen in the photos; and on top with the photo paper that I used previously, which has hearts printed on it.
Additionally, I placed a strip of cardboard that I also covered in cardboard, and glued it with hot silicone to one of the sides.
Decoré los laterales con una cartulina blanca que tiene un relieve muy bonito, aunque no se aprecia en las fotos; y en la parte superior con el papel de fotografía que utilicé anteriormente, que tiene impreso corazones.
Adicionalmente, le coloqué una tira de cartón que también forré en cartulina, y se la pegué con silicón caliente a uno de los laterales.

In the following gif, you can see how I make an initial straight seam, then I roll my Magnetic Guide a little and sew again making sure that the fabric goes next to the Guide, and you can see how the seams look beautiful and even, they look like they were made with a double needle. This is a tool that I'm sure I'll use and it will give me excellent results. It sticks to the metal part that is on the foot of the sewing machine.
Y listo... ya tengo mi Guía Imantada que me ayuda a realizar costuras rectas y parejas.
En el siguiente gif, puedes ver como realizo una costura recta inicial, luego ruedo un poco mi Guía Imantada y coso nuevamente fijándome de que la tela vaya al lado de la Guía, y pueden ver cómo las costuras se ven hermosas y parejas, parecen hechas con doble aguja. Ésta es una herramienta que estoy segura que utilizaré y me dará excelentes resultados. Se pega en la parte metálica que está en el pie de la máquina de coser.
Tape Measure Guide
Many people who sew regularly have markings on their sewing machine that are useful for various things, for example when we make a waistband for a sports suit, where we make several seams at 1cm or 2cms, and other cases.
Today I decided to cut an old tape measure, and stick it on the sewing machine so that it permanently serves as a measuring guide, this combined with the Magnetic Guide that I made previously, will be very helpful. Although I confess that this tape measure was not very pretty, so I plan to buy another one to cut it and replace it. Fortunately, these tape measures are very cheap, so I will buy one that looks very nice on my sewing machine.
Guía con Cinta Métrica
Muchas personas que cosen habitualmente tienen marcas en la máquina de coser que le sirven para varias cosas, por ejemplo cuando hacemos una cintura para un mono deportivo, donde hacemos varias costuras a 1cm o 2cms, y otros casos.
Hoy decidí cortar una cinta métrica vieja, y pegarla en la máquina de coser para que sirva permanentemente de Guía para medir, esto combinado con la Guía Imantada que hice anteriormente, será de muchísima ayuda. Aunque les confieso que esta cinta métrica no estaba muy linda que se diga, así que tengo pensado comprar otra para cortarla y sustituirla. Afortunadamente, estas cintas métricas son muy económicas, así que compraré una que se vea muy linda en mi máquina de coser.
