Los juegos first-person shooter o FPS me gustaron muchísimo en mi adolescencia, pero ya luego en mi adultezno tanto, los disfruto pero no es igual o no con la misma intensidad como en el pasado. A continuación les menciono algunos títulos que disfruté muchísimo y el que considero el mejor de todos.

The first-person shooter games or FPS I liked a lot in my adolescence, but then in my adulthood not so much, I enjoy them but not the same or not with the same intensity as in the past. Here are some titles that I enjoyed a lot and the one I consider the best of all.

Hay muchos juegos que me parecieron increíbles en el pasado, por ejemplo Goldeneye 007 en Nintendo 64 me enganchó demasiado, tenía como proyecto personal pasar el juego, las misiones eran muy buenas, el manejo del personaje el sonido de los tiros, las explosiones, todo era súper emocionante.
En el modo single player disfruté mucho cada misión, cada nivel, no me importaban las horas invertidas en este juego, además que en plena adolescencia poco tomaba en cuenta el tiempo invertido en ocio. Pero el modo multiplayer era otra cosa, era súper divertido. En aquellos tiempos el televisor se dividía en 4 mini pantallas, podíamos jugar 4 personas a la vez y todos podíamos ver que hacía cada quien y donde estaba, eso era un problema. Recuerdo que me aprendía el mapa y ya con ver donde estaba mi colega lo ubicaba y lo esperaba para matarlo, o bien calculaba para matarlo con alguna explosión de lanzagranadas, era muy divertido.

There are many games that I found incredible in the past, for example Goldeneye 007 on Nintendo 64 hooked me too much, I had as a personal project to pass the game, the missions were very good, the handling of the character, the sound of the shots, the explosions, everything was super exciting.
In the single player mode I really enjoyed every mission, every level, I didn't care about the hours invested in this game, besides that in my adolescence I didn't take into account the time invested in leisure. But the multiplayer mode was something else, it was super fun. In those days the TV was divided into 4 mini screens, we could play 4 people at the same time and we could all see what everyone was doing and where they were, that was a problem. I remember that I would learn the map and just by seeing where my colleague was, I would locate him and wait for him to kill him, or I would calculate to kill him with a grenade launcher explosion, it was a lot of fun.
Luego con la llegada de las computadoras pude probar Quake pero no me gustó tanto, también Half Life que sí me atrapó un tiempo, y por supuesto el legendario Counter strike que bastantes amanecidas me dio en algún cyber de mi ciudad.
Hay muchos otros títulos que estuve probando tanto en PC como en consolas pero hubo uno que considero ha sido el mejor que probé y hasta ahora no he conocido un juego que me haga sentir esa emoción que me dio jugar Command & Conquer: Renegade.
No entiendo como este juego no es tan conocido si tiene un modo competitivo tan bueno.

There are many other titles that I have been trying both on PC and consoles but there was one that I consider to be the best I have tried and so far I have not met a game that makes me feel that emotion that playing Command & Conquer: Renegade gave me.
I don't understand how this game is not so well known if it has such a good competitive mode.
Este juego quiero que sepas lo he buscado en Steam y cuesta 9.88$ con un pack que incluye 12 juegos, la verdad no esta nada mal y creo que para los nostálgicos como yo esta bastante bien. El único problema es que no se puede jugar multiplayer y no entiendo el por qué, recuerdo que antes lo podía jugar desde la red LAN sin problemas. En aquellos años cuando lo jugué por primera vez estaba estudiando en el liceo y cerca de mi colegio había un reconocido Cyber Café, en dicho lugar tenían instalado este juego y acostumbraba ir con mis compañeros de estudio a tirarnos unas partidas con chucherías y refrescos, era lo máximo, pero les explico de que va el juego.

In those years when I played it for the first time I was studying in high school and near my school there was a recognized Cyber Café, in that place they had installed this game and I used to go with my classmates to play some games with snacks and refreshments, it was the best, but I will explain what the game is about.
Somos dos equipos, cada uno tiene su base, la idea es defender la base o destruir la base enemiga. En principio iremos a pie por falta de dinero pero a medida que vamos matando o destruyendo al enemigo vamos recibiendo una paga que nos permite comprar mejores armas y tanques. Cuando la partida esta un poco avanzada la lucha entre tanques es una locura, además que solo con los tanques es que podemos hacer daño real a la base enemiga.
Cada base cuenta con sistemas de defensa bastante buenos, hay una torre que tiene un laser muy poderoso, si te detecta estas muerto, no importa si vas en tanque, así que hay que evitarlo y buscar la manera de destruirlo.

At first we will go on foot for lack of money but as we kill or destroy the enemy we will receive a payment that allows us to buy better weapons and tanks. When the game is a little advanced the fight between tanks is crazy, plus only with tanks is that we can do real damage to the enemy base.
Each base has pretty good defense systems, there is a tower that has a very powerful laser, if it detects you you are dead, no matter if you go in a tank, so you have to avoid it and find a way to destroy it.
Las partidas se hacen bastante largas porque se trata de resistir lo más que se pueda y por supuesto, mientras más dinero se tenga mejores equipos y tanques se pueden obtener, también mejores defensas.
Hay varios mapas, pero en cada uno de ellos hay atajos que conectan ambas bases, es decir que alguien debe estar vigilando constantemente esa entrada. La estrategia es fundamental para poder ganar la partida, el equipo debe tener una sincronía y cumplir su rol, algunos deben dedicarse a la defensa otros a la ofensa, en algunas ocasiones todos deben estar defendiendo la base o viceversa, todos deben aprovechar la debilidad de la base enemiga e ir para realizar el mayor daño posible o dar la estocada final.
A veces pensaba que ya teníamos la partida ganada, con la base enemiga bastante destruida y la nuestra intacta y de repente por una falla estratégica el enemigo repuntaba y ganaba, no se puede bajar la guardia en ningún momento.
Command & Conquer: Renegade el mejor juego FPS que he probado en toda mi vida hasta el día de hoy. Es un juego que realmente vale la pena jugar con amigos, aunque ya los gráficos están bastante cuadrados a nuestra época, me gustaría ver una versión remasterizada y multiplayer.

The strategy is essential to win the game, the team must have a synchrony and fulfill its role, some must be dedicated to the defense others to the offense, sometimes everyone must be defending the base or vice versa, everyone must take advantage of the weakness of the enemy base and go to do as much damage as possible or give the final blow.
Sometimes I thought we had already won the game, with the enemy base pretty much destroyed and ours intact and suddenly by a strategic failure the enemy rebounded and won, you can not let your guard down at any time.
Command & Conquer: Renegade is the best FPS game I have ever played in my life until today. It is a game that is really worth playing with friends, although the graphics are already quite square to our time, I would like to see a remastered version and multiplayer.
