In my free time I spend most of that time getting to know new places to enjoy a good cup of coffee and most of the time I get surprises, good prices, promotions and places that are a paradise. So this time we went to a bakery and it was a place that has several years offering its services and I do not know where I was, I had not gone and it is very nice, comfortable and do not stop selling coffees in all its presentations and variety of sweets. So I did not hesitate much and I went in the afternoon and this time I was delighted to go and get a big surprise when I entered.
The place is about 15 minutes from where I live by car, walking would be a little more approximately, but it is worth the trip to get to this great bakery known as Al Forno. Once I arrived there in the afternoon the sun was a little strong, the place was a little empty and of course I arrived at snack time. The decoration of that space is very nice, modern and the nice thing is the combination of colors that has and that way it is cozy, plus many lights, several months with their respective chairs and the variety of products, where I felt very happy and content, since it also sold coffee.
The first thing I noticed is the attention and the prices of that site are very good and unlike other bakeries I have visited here in Maturin, is that you have to pay first to then consume the products and thus guarantee the place that it will be real and will not be bad. That was what the young man who received me explained, so I calmly approached the bar and after listening to the prices and the coffees. I went for a simple coffee with milk, this had a cost of $ 1.5 for that medium, also asked me if I wanted something else to make the bill and added a sweet so I could cancel my products in that bakery.
I left the cashier and continued walking through the bakery, and it was amazing the machines, the different decorations and it was a very good and spacious place, the only bad thing about the bakery is that it is located in a building at the bottom and if you know the address well you can get lost. Once that was ready I sat down and asked myself, will the coffee be good, it didn't take long for the coffee to arrive to the table and it came with a cookie, some extra bags of sugar and a straw so I could move, for that part I congratulate them and the cup is very nice, so things were going great.
I was very impressed by the design on the foam and it is something I always admire a lot, but it certainly did not last, since I added a little extra sugar and the design was erased. The coffee was not so hot and not so cold, which allowed me to take it easy and enjoy every sip of that great coffee with milk, I felt it was a little pure, but I continued drinking and the accompanying cookie gave it the final touch, so I give that coffee with milk and cookie a 9/10, it remains to continue trying the other things in that bakery.
The coffee with milk, being a medium sized cup, was quite good, until the sweet came, which took a while and I don't know what happened there. However, I was enjoying the whole atmosphere while I was looking at my phone, where the sweet this time was a portion of Brazo gitano, which I had not eaten one of those for a long time and it is a combination of cake, with pastry cream, another cream and a cherry on top, however, what makes it special is that it is rolled and cut by portions, this sweet reminded me of my grandmother, as she always made it and it was very tasty. So that portion was worth it and the good thing is that it was fresh and had a good flavor, where I give a 10/10 to this little dessert and the companion to that cup of coffee.
This is one of the things I like to do the most, go out for a coffee, for a sweet and do something different and even more to close a week with that great taste. Each coffee shop or bakery will have its own way of preparing coffee, how to serve it and the precise, but it is a drink that wherever you take it will raise your spirits, spend a different moment and above all get you a smile, that also happens with the places and the important thing of all these is to be able to feel comfortable. So friends if you are in Maturin and want to spend a different afternoon and you can go to Al Forno bakery and have a great time.
